Notability of Thomas Berling
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Thomas Berling, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Thomas Berling seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Thomas Berling, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. - Please see WP:ATHLETE for the notablity of athletes. --Pinkkeith (talk) 21:11, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- The article does not state that Thomas Berling has played at professional or world-class amateur level. Please expand it to show notability. Thanks. Rcawsey (talk) 21:19, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi Pinkkeith, I am reviewing Jack Youngblood for GA and have left some comments at Talk:Jack Youngblood/GA2. All in all, the article looks good. The problems I have noted can be fixed easily, I think. Please feel free to contact me with comments or questions. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 18:12, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Thomas Berling
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Thomas Berling, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- non notable footballer. Has not played on a professional level.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. {{LGBT-rights-stub}}
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first!.
In the case of this template, it also is a major problem since it cuts acropss discussions trhat have recently taken place regarding the split of Category:LGBT stubs. The decision was taken only abotu a month ago to create separate stub types for LGBT-film-stub, LGBT-law-stub, LGBT-novel-stub, and LGBT-org-stub. Any LGBT-rights-stub will cut through the -org- and -law- types when they are made. You would have been told as much had you gone though the standard procedure for proposing stub types, as spelt out at WP:STUB. Grutness...wha? 01:00, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- S'alright. It wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for the split already planned. BTW, {{LGBT-stub}} is listed by WP:WSS as both a political stub and also as a culture/social stub. Given the mix of articles in the category, it makes perfect sense for it to be listed in both places. No insult is intended in its listing under politics. Re: Joey Fisher
Hi, I moved the Outsports reference to the external links section because I couldn't find a mention in the article to back up the first gay player claim. If you remember where you heard or read this, a citation would help back up his notability in case it is nominated for AFD in the future. Thanks, Outsider80 (talk) 04:29, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Grammer/Grammar
You might know this already, I don't know. But it is spelled, "G-R-A-M-M-A-R" not "G-R-A-M-M-E-R." Pardon me if you meant it to be Grammer. ~Rhana~{♦} talk page 23:08, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you are referring to. I've never claimed to be the best speller in the world and certianly not the best at using correct grammer or grammar. :P --Pinkkeith (talk) 16:30, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- Oh! I finally caught what you meant. It was a misspelling on my user page! Thanks for the catch. I appreciated it. --Pinkkeith (talk) 16:37, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
