editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited William Herschel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mimas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Village history
editI noticed your edit to Sevington. If you are interested in pursuing the history of villages in Kent, I recommend the Victoria History of the Counties of England as an excellent source. For Kent, see https://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/kent/vol2
Here are two examples of how to cite it:
- Philip Riden and Charles Insley, ed. (2002), "Parishes : Furtho", A History of the County of Northampton, vol. 5. The Hundred of Cleley, Victoria History of the Counties of England, pp. 127–142, retrieved 28 June 2020
- William Page, ed. (1927). "Parishes : Cold Brayfield". A History of the County of Buckingham. Victoria History of the Counties of England. Vol. 4. London: Constable & Co. Ltd. pp. 323–327.

Image sizes
editPlease do not set explicit image sizes (as with px), as that breaks their functionality for many devices, particularly for those using accessibility options. "Thumb" takes care of the, and provides the size the image should appear at on each type of device, allowing user preferences to determine how large they are. This is per wikipedia-wide standards, as WP:IMAGESIZE. (ps - you can edit this page to remove the disambiguation notifications) Cheers, - NiD.29 (talk) 23:30, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Kristen Stewart has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Redlinks
editDo not remove redlinks as you did in this edit without a clear reason for doing so. Redlinks serve a purpose and are not errors. See Wikipedia:Red link. Some of them you replaced with a blue link, but those were incorrect target articles in every case. You should be especially circumspect about doing stuff like this to Featured content – such articles have been very heavily reviewed in the past. SpinningSpark 19:34, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Bishops in the Catholic Church, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please see WP:OVERLINK and also WP:NOTBROKEN. Elizium23 (talk) 17:09, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

Invitation
editHello Mndata2!
- The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
- We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
- If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

editPlease do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Anne, Queen of Great Britain. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images, images should only be scaled differently from the user's own default for good reason. I see no good reason in this case, and none was provided. Please consider using edit summaries to explain edits in future. DrKay (talk) 18:59, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

editHello. In a recent edit to the page Roald Amundsen, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 19:28, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

Unexplained addition of upright tags to thumbnails
editFirst, Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks!
Second, what is the point of a 1.1 scale factor? and where you have made a thumbnail bigger, have you given any consideration to the fact that the majority of readers are using mobile phones and many more are using laptops. So unless the image is critical to understanding the topic and needs to be seen side-by-side with the text it illustrates, there no good reason to change the default. Unless I've missed something? 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 00:47, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- I am going to repeat JMF's points, as you haven't answered them yet. If you want to increase the size of a thumbnail above the default, you need to explain why that is needed to benefit the encyclopedia. A lot of your edits appear to be just randomly increasing sizes without rhyme nor reason, and for this reason they should probably be reverted. Pyrope 13:20, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
Despite my advice above, confirmed by Pyrop, you have continued to make these unexplained and unnecessary changes to thumbnail sizes. I have already reverted the image changes you made to Francis Drake and John Hawkins (naval commander): from now on I will revert your edits in their entirety if they include any changes to thumbnails. If you continue to do this, you should expect to be referred to WP:ANI. Meanwhile, consider this a formal warning: Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 11:39, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
And despite that caution, you doubled down on it.
Please stop your disruptive editing.

editDespite having the policy on thumbnails explained to you above (which, since you declined to respond, I assume you accept), you continue to apply arbitrary, redundant and policy-defiant upright=

Please stop your disruptive editing.

Final warning
editThis is your final warning: the next event will lead to a WP:ANI referral. You have made no attempt to justify your behaviour: please read wp:communication is required.
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Greenwich Park. , Neptune , William the Silent, The House That Moved, Church of St Mary Steps, Exeter, Sri Lanka, James Cleverly and many more. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 17:15, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
