"Underground church" page

edit

Hi, it seems that you have deleted a page with this title in the past. I have made a page on that topic in Czech and am ready to do so in English too. My article is general describing the concept which spanned many churches and many oppressive regimes. What do you think? Should I proceed?

Angus Stone?

edit

Is it possible to... "un-delete" Angus Stone? I see that your reason was "Appearance on one TV show does not make nobility" but in fact, I wanted to look him up because of his music... which is rather popular, and very good.

Why did you delete LifeSize Communications redirect to main LifeSize article? LifeSize Communications is the full name of the company, but the wiki article was for some reason created with the shortened name of "LifeSize." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seshelman (talkcontribs) 15:59, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Driscoll

edit

Wondering if you may re-visit Martin Driscoll, an artist(painter) that you deleted four years ago? Believe as one of the most popular visual artists in his field, inclusion should be seriously considered. His paintings of rural Irish life are in the collections of some of the most important Irish-Americans citizens today. A simple google search would confirm my claims. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.114.130.144 (talk) 17:10, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of Quesh Ball

edit

Hello,

I am in the process of trying to get the Quesh Ball article published again. It was created by my brother, explaining the nature and origin of the sport, and I can vouch for its existence. You were the admin that deleted the page, and I have been told to contact you before creating a new page for Quesh Ball.

Please let me know.

Love Club

edit

Hello KungfuAdam, I am working on an article on Love Club (aka incorrectly Loveclub), the band that signed to the Popular Metaphysics label and released a record through MCA in 1990. I see that there was an uncontested PROD article by the same name which you deleted on: 07:45, December 23, 2006 Kungfuadam (talk | contribs) deleted "Loveclub" ‎ (closing prod uncontested since 17 Dec 06. I wonder if I might peek at a copy of the text of that article, if it's the same topic, to consult for additional references in the article I'm writing. Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

edit

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Fabrizio Plessi

edit

Hi,

I am researching for an article about the Venetian sculptor Fabrizio Plessi, and I see that you deleted his Wikipedia page in March 2006.

I realize that was some time ago, but it may be helpful to me if you can recall why you did that. I suppose there's no chance there would be a backup copy of the page anywhere?

Anyway, all the best, and thanks in advance for any help you can manage,

Richard Baines

edit

Hi. I have a special interest in the life and work of the Elizabethan poet and dramatist Christopher Marlowe, and have in fact just made fairly extensive edits to the pages for two of his acquaintances, Robert Poley and Nicholas Skeres. I had intended to see whether similar changes might be appropriate for a man who also played a very important part in Marlowe's life, Richard Baines, but I was astonished to see that back in 2006 you had deleted the page dedicated to him, one reason for which being that he didn't meet Wikipedia's criteria for notability.

I fully appreciate that the version you deleted must have failed to make it clear, but I can assure you that he does in every way. In fact not a single biography of Marlowe fails to mention him. I think that you might also find it helpful to know how Roy Kendall starts his excellent book Christopher Marlowe and Richard Baines: Journeys Through the Elizabethan Underworld (based on his PhD thesis with a similar title):

The Baines Note is the "master key to the mind of Marlowe." Thus Paul Kocher, in his learned study of Christopher Marlowe's thought, learning, and character, defined the importance of the well-known Baines memorandum that was delivered to the authorities immediately prior to the playwright's death in May 1593 ... "For revolutionary impact and scope it stands alone, an extraordinary document in the history of free thought."

Wikipedia does in fact have a "Baines" page with a list of 23 (I quote) "Notable People with the Surname Baines," of which only one (guess which!) has no page for it to be linked to.

Assuming that you find my argument of some merit, I would appreciate your advice on just how I should go about creating such a page (or any page for that matter, as I have never done such a thing) despite the fact that it has been deleted in the past. I won't put any effort into it before seeing what you have to say, and have done nothing at all about it so far, so really there is no hurry. Peter Farey (talk) 12:33, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

About the Cormorant (band) page.

edit

Hello,

I am trying to create a page for the band Cormorant. Unfortunately, the page seems to have had some issues back in 2007 and is now locked as they were not famous enough at the time. It looks like you were the last person to be in the deletion log. Would it be possible to unlock so that I may create the page? I could provide you with enough evidence as to their current fame, or even create the page in my sandbox and then have you approve it.

Thanks,

Tikan — Preceding unsigned comment added by TikanKK (talkcontribs) 06:28, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I looked at the page and decided to un-protect based on AGF. I looked through the discussion that was had at WP:AN and I agree with you I think that, some at least, should not have had permanent protection. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 19:14, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of page for Manx Wildilfe Trust in 2007

Dear Kungfuadam

Having checked a cross reference from the Wikipedia entry for The Wildlife Trusts, I find the page on the Manx Wildlife Trust to have been deleted in 2007 by yourself.

As Director of that charitable organisation I would like to see the page reinstated and we are willing to provide accurate and up to date information for its renewal. Please advise on how best we can achieve this.

Notice of change

edit

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that if you are inactive for a continuous three year period, you will be unable to request return of the administrative user right. This includes inactive time prior to your desysopping if you were desysopped for inactivity and inactive time prior to the change in policy. Inactivity is defined as the absence of edits or logged actions. Until such time as you have been inactive for three years, you may request return of the tools at the bureaucrats' noticeboard. After you have been inactive for three years, you may seek return of the tools only through WP:RFA. Thank you. MBisanz talk 00:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dear Adam,

Why did you delete it?

I am interim General Secretary of the Boaters Christian Fellowship, a UK Charity, that operates on the inland waterways of the United Kingdom. our website is www.boaterschristianfellowship.org.uk

At our Committee/Trustees meeting last Saturday we agreed that we would like our information included in Wikipedia.

Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your organisation is notable. Undelete an article?

edit

Hi Adam,

Back in 2006, an article titled "Syntheism" was deleted by you. I think it was just a routine deletion at the time. I couldn't find much info in the deletion log, just:

17:51, 16 June 2006 Kungfuadam (talk | contribs) deleted page Syntheism (closing prod)

I think there is a valid article for that title, as an international movement (http://syntheism.org/) has adopted that name fairly recently. I'm not affiliated with that group but I imagine it would warrant an article. Can you release that article title for recreation?

Thanks and kind regards, 128.143.181.110 (talk) 00:57, 29 October 2013 (UTC) BrianReply
