Question from Sha.whitehead on Electric fence (12:29, 23 September 2024)

edit

Hi!! I need to edit a page with an update and add the relevant reference, how do i do that? --Sha.whitehead (talk) 12:29, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sha.whitehead, apologies for my slow response. In visual editor, you can simply click the "Cite" button, between the link and bullet point buttons, and then add the URL of your reference in to automatically create a reference. If you need any more help, do let me know. Thanks! :) --Ferien (talk) 15:26, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Jobankaz (18:31, 30 September 2024)

edit

Hi - I have a question about the user sandbox. When I create the sandbox page to work on an article. In order to save my work to the sandbox, do I select the "publish page' button. Does that simply save my work? If I want to work on a couple articles at the same time in the sandbox, do I just create a sandbox1, sandbox2. I guess I want to make sure it stays in the sandbox and doesn't accidentally go out for review. Thanks for your help. Adrana --Jobankaz (talk) 18:31, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks in advance. I figured out how it works now. It is fine- You can disregard this. Thanks Jobankaz (talk) 19:03, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Jobankaz, yep, apologies for the slow response, but you can create as many user subpages as you like if you're working on multiple articles at once. You can use sandbox1, sandbox2, but you can also use the article name, like User:Ferien/Example, if you like, it's up to you :) Let me know if you need any more help. Thanks! --Ferien (talk) 15:28, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

How do I save Wikipedia pages to have offline?

edit

I am using a computer...I have this app on my kindle, but i can't figure out to save the pages on my computer. I thought that I just had to make an account on Wikipedia in order to do that, yet, it still doesn't work. HippieGirl09 (talk) 13:22, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi HippieGirl09, welcome to Wikipedia. There's no offline Wikipedia function within Wikipedia, however, you can use apps like Kiwix - this is available on desktop and mobile. There are a number of other applications you can use to do this, that are listed at Wikipedia:Database download#Offline Wikipedia readers. I hope this is useful to you. Please don't hesitate to ask if you would like any more help. Thanks! --Ferien (talk) 15:30, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

R-Truth entered in the 2024 women's royal rumble match. Can you check? --Dominus Irae (talk) 17:41, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sorry Dominus Irae, I'm a bit confused what you're asking me to check? --Ferien (talk) 15:31, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
A Wiki article regarding the Royal Rumble. In the Royal Rumble 2024, R-Truth entered the women's royal rumble. Can you check that part and edit the table which shows men entering the women's royal rumble accordingly? Dominus Irae (talk) 11:32, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Luca 102 on Sick of Being Lonely (21:53, 29 October 2024)

edit

Hi, I have a question: how do you add segments on different pages? What I mean is how do I add a different section that I can open up like references or Career or stuff like that. --Luca 102 (talk) 21:53, 29 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Luca 102, you can start a new section by using the wikicode == Example section ==. If you add another =, for example === Example subsection ===, it becomes a subsection of that section, and you can keep adding more =s on the beginning and end to have subsections of those subsections. I hope this helps, feel free to ask me if you need any more help. Thanks! --Ferien (talk) 22:27, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Mirvanamilano (10:00, 7 November 2024)

edit

Good morning. Mirvana is an Italian brand, and we want to publish about Mirvana on Wikipedia. How is this possible, please? I don't want to do anything that's against the rules, but I do know that brands are allowed over here, and I do want to write about ours. It's https://lemirvana.com (find us on IG by @mirvanamilano ) - Also a second question, if we want to publish an article about the founder? - she's doing many different businesses and she wants to be found online with all the information she wants to share, not randomly what different publications would post, and Wikipedia is the best place for this. Please let me know for both. Thank you! --Mirvanamilano (talk) 10:00, 7 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from MOWM (22:53, 11 November 2024)

edit

Hi Ferien,

I wanted to check in on the Sandbox entry I made for Bryan Wells. I tried to best mimic the approved pages from his main collaborator, the late Ron Miller to ensure the content was direct, sourced, and hit a high standard. I'm curious about what kind of time frame it takes to approve pages. --MOWM (talk) 22:53, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Mirvanamilano (11:09, 19 November 2024)

edit

Hi. We are a registered Italian luxury brand, and we'd like to establish ourselves by having a Wikipedia page of our brand - Mirvana (our company is registered in Italy as Mirvana Srl, and the brand is also registered in Italy). I remember many years ago when I was contributing to history related articles, that my back-then mentor said, that brands and companies can have their own pages posted on Wikipedia with external link to them. Our brand is in the luxury sector, and it's going to be here for a long time, so I want to check where and how I can publish it on Wikipedia? --Mirvanamilano (talk) 11:09, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
