Please don't imagine some nefarious purpose in my actions or even anything meaningful. Breaking the rules was simply for my own entertainment. I have a habit of pushing boundaries, often to the point of recklessness, for no other purpose than finding it fun. My participation in Wikipedia has always been because I find it fun - it's a hobby. I took playing with Wikipedia too far - I broke the rules just for self-amusement and got caught. There's really no more to it than that. I'm sorry that I caused this trouble. -- Ed (Edgar181) 22:18, 5 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Edgar181, I am required to notify you about a community ban discussion about you at the Administrators' noticeboard. However, between my decision to create the discussion and the implementation of my decision, a similar discussion was already created at WP:ANI. I am sorry for the unnecessary duplicate discussion and notification. Feel free to remove this message when you have read it, unless you'd like to keep it here for whatever reason. I don't want to be "gravedancing" here. Again, sorry. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:10, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

The discussion was eventually held at AN, and the result is that you have been banned by community consensus. Any potential return to editing would need to be predicated on community consensus for your return, as well as committee approval for the lifting of the block. Let me know if you have any questions. –xenotalk 13:25, 8 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
