I removed the NPOV tag. It was originally added because of the text that talked about him mesmerizing the fans with a behind-the-back dunk, and that has been removed. Thanks for the reminder. (I am posting this on my talk page and on yours, just to make sure you see it.) Truthanado (talk) 00:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

editDoes the BLP notice exist anywhere as a separate template? If so, please add that at the top of the talk page. If not, I have no problem returning the WP:BIO banner to its original position based upon your concerns. Acdixon (talk • contribs • count) 21:47, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Bennett Salvatore
editThanks for the kind words! I cleaned up the page a little bit after reading your message on my talk page. The Salvatore bio was in pretty bad shape to start with and I will continue to work on it as I come across more info. The Henry Abbott interview was very good and I hope to integrate more information from that into the Wiki bio. RyguyMN (talk) 00:50, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up Bash Kash. I reverted that edit because it was a clear violation of WP:POV since it was based on opinion of a single writer. RyguyMN (talk) 01:05, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
RE: Mitch Richmond
editI deleted the height and weight because i thought it wasn't necessary. I don't think the retired players weigh the excact weight it says on the infobox. For example i doubt Wilt Chamberlain weighs 275 pounds, he passed away. Erik93 (talk) 20:15, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
RE
editNo i can't think of another solution, you should add the height and weight, and you have a point about people being curious about their height and weight during their NBA career. Erik93 (talk) 03:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Didier Mbenga
editBonjour Moyogo. Awhile back (June 2006) you moved D. J. Mbenga from "Didier Ilunga-Mbenga" to "Didier Ilunga Mbenga. When I recently proposed to move the page to "D. J. Mbenga", some questions arose about his full name. My main question is whether "Ilunga" is his middle name, or his surname. Does he have two surnames? There was some debate about it here, and I was hoping that you could fill me in. NBA.com calls him Didier Ilunga-Mbenga, but I am confused why the hyphen is used sometimes, and other times it is not used at all. Thanks in advance. Bash Kash (talk) 18:26, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Mbɔ́tɛ Bash Kash. Today I looked for his name in the Moniteur belge —the official paper of the Belgian government where things like the list of people who acquire the Belgian citizenship are published. In the July 20th 2004 edition only the form Ilunga Mbenga is used.
- Mbenga, Ilunga, né à Kinshasa (Congo) le 30 décembre 1980.
- There the surname comes first, i.e. Mbenga, followed by a comma and the given name, i.e. Ilunga. I don’t know why his other given name is not there.
- He was born on december 30th 1980, not 13th. --moyogo (talk) 14:04, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, so he has two given names? Why do they use the hyphen? Perhaps the "Didier" was added when he came to Belgium. Bash Kash (talk) 05:19, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Using French given names is common, maybe Didier is not his first given name (maybe due to the zairianization movement). I don't know why the hyphen is used, although this happens a lot (banut names without hyphen written with hyphens). --moyogo (talk) 19:11, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Bob Lanier
editYes but the original thread starter states it. He is only using wikipedia as a source for quadruple doubles, not Lanier's QUINTuple double... Smuckers (talk) 18:31, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
