Orphaned non-free media (Image:Chunnam_Dragons.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Chunnam_Dragons.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 11:02, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Atlanta Dream.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Atlanta Dream.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:36, 16 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. License tagging for File:Pirin Blagoevgrad.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Pirin Blagoevgrad.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

File:FC Amkar Perm.png

edit
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:FC Amkar Perm.png has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because images on Wikipedia need to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License or another free license, which allow anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 11:43, 19 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ayomaju! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Speedy deletion nomination of 2014 UEFA Europa League Final

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2014 UEFA Europa League Final, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:45, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hey Ayomaju

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2006–07 UEFA Cup first round, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bernd Schneider and Nikola Mijailović (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Participating clubs of the Europa League era

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:Participating clubs of the Europa League era requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. C679 20:05, 28 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup logo.jpeg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup logo.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 09:18, 24 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

IP block exempt

edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. PhilKnight (talk) 12:24, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Non-free rationale for File:2016 NBA All-Star Game logo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:2016 NBA All-Star Game logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Proposed deletion of Paweł Raczkowski

edit

The article Paweł Raczkowski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Arnold Hunter

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Arnold Hunter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. UEFA Champions League clubs performance comparison

edit

Would you please stop making bad edits to that article (and the Europa League version)! You keep adding duplicate links to the 2011-12 season article, plus I went through both of those articles to fix the formatting and you keep undoing it. I'm guessing you have a document on your own computer that you update yourself before copying and pasting here, but I recommend that you not do that any more. By the way, I notice you've never posted on an article talk page and you haven't posted on a user talk page for about a year! That could be considered evidence that you're not here to work collaboratively on this encyclopedia, which could result in you being blocked. Shape up or ship out. – PeeJay 07:48, 25 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

@PeeJay2K3: Show me what's wrong... I have fixed what User:GAV80 said about duplicate links to the 2011-12... I have reformatted this article as you show me the correct one... I always make update for this article.. Thanks...
I corrected all the formatting, plus I changed the column header from "Football Clubs" to just "Club", since it's obvious we're talking about football and there's no need for the plural. It's just a pain in the ass for you to actively revert us. Just make small changes, don't change the whole article! – PeeJay 10:50, 25 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

NFL season results charts

edit

I removed the results charts from the 2013 NFL season and 2014 NFL season pages. Not only is posting the results of all 256 games an excruciatingly large addition to an already long page, but all of the results can already be found on the respective teams' season pages. The teams' records and standings are sufficient for a page surrounding the entire league. Frank AnchorTalk 19:33, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:2018 UEFA Europa League Final.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:2018 UEFA Europa League Final.jpg.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Burkina Faso national under-20 football team moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Burkina Faso national under-20 football team, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your page to draft space (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018–19 UEFA Europa League qualifying phase and play-offs (Main Path), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arnheim (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thank you for finish my NFL division season results

edit

I had intended on completing all of them but time had caught up and I couldn’t do them. Thanks for that. But there’s one thing I’d like to point out: the full names. I had only listed city named to make the template more seamless and easy to read. If you go check them out now that I had redone that, you can see how easy it is to read result when there’s only one space per box. Doing the full name skews the template and makes in unessessarily lengthy. We have description boxes for explanations. Thank you! --GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 22:55, 21 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

List of NHL head coaches

edit

Do not remove head coaches for teams, which did not indicate that they would change in the 2019–20 season as you did at List of NHL head coaches by removing the head coaches of the Ducks, Oilers, Senators, Flyers and Blues. Interim head coaches do not necessarily change so it is better to leave them in the table until and if their replacement is announced. They have been restored and their statistics have been updated accordingly. – Sabbatino (talk) 16:45, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. Thanks for adding stats to NBA team articles. Just curious, was there a specific reason you created {{NBA roster statistics full}} instead of using the pre-existing {{NBA roster statistics start}}? Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 07:53, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Redskins at Vikings stats

edit

Can I ask where you got the stats from for last night's game between the Redskins and the Vikings? I've just had to correct half of it because the drive distances and score times were mostly wrong. – PeeJay 10:12, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Interesting. In that case, I recommend waiting until the NFL releases the game book for each game, as those will have the most accurate stats. I certainly wouldn't trust CBS, and it's easy to get your math wrong if you go by what's on the NFL Game Center page. I understand you want to get the info up as quickly as possible, but it's better to get it right than to rush it up there. – PeeJay 10:28, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

edit

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Speedy deletion nomination of Larrye Weaver

edit

Hello Ayomaju,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Larrye Weaver for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Proposed deletion of Alejandro Hernández Hernández

edit

The article Alejandro Hernández Hernández has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Poorly sourced

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to join New pages patrol

edit

Hello Ayomaju!

  • The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
  • We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

A note about stadium use should be added here (it was done in past seasons, just as uefa competition pattern). Appreciate

Club name UEFA attendance template

edit

The club name should be as that displayed in pair. Hence for example Slavia Prague vs. Red Star Belgrade rather than Slavia Praha vs. Crvena zvezda. Regards. Island92 (talk) 08:07, 21 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

What's not clear what I said? <ref>{{UEFA match attendance|2041874|Dynamo Kyiv vs. Salzburg|date=21 August 2024|access-date=22 August 2024}}</ref> is wrong. You should add <ref>{{UEFA match attendance|2041874|Dynamo Kyiv vs. Red Bull Salzburg|date=21 August 2024|access-date=22 August 2024}}</ref>, those same club names you can see here. Regards. Island92 (talk) 17:24, 22 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
It refers to uefa.com as the tag of references. We should write the title as written at source. Ayomaju (talk) 18:00, 22 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not necessarily. Here on Wikipedia the club is know as Red Star Belgrade (the main wikilink), not Crvena zvezda. Main wikilink is the priority. Island92 (talk) 08:12, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
