Disambiguation link notification for March 25
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Benito Mussolini, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fascist Italy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:06, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

editEdit summary
editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Fettlemap (talk) 01:53, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
April 2022
editPlease do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Aung San Suu Kyi. Thank you. ― Tartan357 Talk 19:27, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Category additions
editHello, please do not add categories to pages where there is not an overwhelming consensus that they apply, like you did to several articles such as Christopher Columbus; see the relevant guideline. You might also want to read the essay beware of the tigers; if you keep editing the way you have been recently, you may be tranquilised (i.e. blocked). Graham87 03:45, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Overlinking
editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Jonkeria, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Graham87 04:21, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Washington's Genocide of Iroquois
editI agree with your comments in the George Washington article.
On 2022 February 12 I tried to highlight the genocide of the Sullivan expedition. It was reverted 2022 February 17 on grounds there was only one source. if you know of other sources, I'd appreciate knowing them.
I have also tried to reduce the hagiography in the article about Andrew Jackson but met resistance. His attitude to the south-eastern tribes was just as bad.
Please don't wp:OVERLINK. Most people know what a church, a hotel, and a village are. Someone reading the article is unlikely to need to find further info on those items. Please stop. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 03:04, 12 August 2022 (UTC)

TOAE
editI merged the TOAE article (which was titled "Toarcian Turnover" [1]) into the Jurassic article nearly 2 years ago as it had very little content. If you're interested in writing about the TOAE it may be advisable to recreate the article (ideally under a different title, like Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event) and expand that, as the main Jurassic article should ideally only be a high-level summary, while an article dedicated to the topic could go more in depth. June 2023
editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Hemiauchenia (talk) 01:05, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Anteosaurus magnificus,
- If an editor reverts your edit, it's not a sign that you should then revert them! You need to go to the article talk page and get a consensus for the change you want to make. Edit-warring or move-warring can result in a block so please don't be persistent here. I'd rather not block you. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:20, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- I think the best path forward here would either to create a broader article about the extinction event, separate from the TOAE article, or attempt to gain broader consensus for the move using the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested_moves#Requesting_controversial_and_potentially_controversial_moves. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Oceanic anoxic events
editA tag has been placed on Category:Oceanic anoxic events indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 04:53, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
editHi Anteosaurus magnificus. Thank you for your work on Messelopython. Another editor, Hughesdarren, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Hi there, I'm not a taxonomist but I'm guessing that the genus messelopython is a part of the Pythonidae family and wrote the taxobox accordingly. If this is not the case please let me know which family I need and I'll fix it up. Thanks for your work, taxoboxes are difficult to work but if you need any help in the future then drop me a line. Regards

Request for assessment
editI see that you have requested assessment of a bulk of pages here. By putting them in one large request, it will make it very difficult for us to keep track of what we have assessed and what remains to be done. Please delete your current request and re add them one by one as separate requests. Also ensure that you sign each request, as it appears your current one did not sign properly. Request for assessment
editIt looks like you just added a bunch of articles, most of which you have not significantly edited (looked at a couple and it looks like you added a few links, did some cleanup, added a statement, etc.). Requests for assessment is usually for articles people don't want to rate themselves because they wrote them, or because they are unsure. If you believe an article deserves a higher rating based on the descriptions and did not significantly edit it (or even if you did), you can just set it to the higher rating. If you are unsure about some articles, I think it would be better to ask for a few 2nd opinions and then use that information to rate the rest. The description on the Requests for Assessment page says "If you have made significant changes to an article and would like an outside opinion on a new rating for it, please feel free to list it below." -- this isn't really what it's intended for, and it makes it less likely that the pages people have difficulty rating themselves will get second opinions.
I'm going to remove them per it not really being the point of the whole thing but feel free to add any back if you did write a significant portion of them or are unsure about the rating. Mrfoogles (talk) 23:11, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
