M25 Sniper Weapon System

edit

It's known as the M25 so that is what is used primarily in the article. If you want to spell out the meaning, you can add it, but it's not the primary name of the subject. ... discospinster talk 19:05, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Dirkbb. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Single White Female, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dirkbb (talk) 22:17, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Jacona. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Spontaneous human combustion—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks.   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at The Conspiracy (2012 film), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. It would be easier if you just provide a source where she legally changed her name to get rid of her middle name. —C.Fred (talk) 03:03, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Don't almost all actors/actresses/celebrities cast off their middle names/surnames or even assume a non-birth first/surname as a professional handle? 70.30.39.193 (talk) 03:38, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
See my edit summary. Wikipedia needs to be cited, not rely on readers to double check everything, and especially read WP:DOB. Also, we don't put place of birth in the first sentence. That belongs in the body, with citation, along with the DOB. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 04:23, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at List of metonyms, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Also note that sources on that page should discuss the metonym as a metonym, and not simply use it. Cnilep (talk) 05:33, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to List of McDonald's products. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 03:19, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dab page talk pages

edit

Hallo, Please don't create a talk page for a disambiguation page, like Talk:Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman (disambiguation) unless there is something to say there: all dab pages are of interest to WikiProject Disambiguation, and it doesn't need a template to say so. See the documentation at {{WikiProject Disambiguation}}, which says in a standout box: "Please do not use this template solely to create talk pages that otherwise have no content.".

It might seem harmless to create an unnecessary talk page, but it means that an editor wanting to work on the dab page might waste time looking at the talk page to see if there is some relevant discussion, rather than seeing that the talk page doesn't exist. There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it's an interesting journey! Thanks. PamD 18:40, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Voorts. I noticed that you recently removed content from Single White Female 2: The Psycho without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please create an account

It seems like you are interested in improving Wikipedia, even if some of your edits are unpopular (means "not following consensus"), so please create an account. You'll get more satisfaction out of it that way. Abductive (reasoning) 08:01, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
