Template:Kansas City Chiefs roster
editThe numbers you removed came from this photo gallery the Chiefs posted to their website. The roster listings are slow to update. They still don’t have a number listed for Joe Thuney despite them showing his jersey in their official announcement. The Chiefs also have added retired numbers for new players in the past as well. Probably 70/75% of the time their accurate, but don’t focus solely on the roster for accuracy.--Rockchalk717 16:56, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- Stop removing Melvin Ingram being a defensive end! He is listed as an OLB and DE. He's listed at OLB so he can have the number 24 but he primarily played defensive end.--Rockchalk717 05:16, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Devon Key can't have 24 period. Technically the duplicate number rule doesn't begin until offseason workouts PLUS Devon Key and Melvin Ingram both play defense. Only an offensive player could have that and that is unlikely to happen because teams rarely duplicate numbers for starters.--Rockchalk717 05:59, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
Template:New York Giants roster
editYou are partially right. Yes during the offseason and preseason, two players can have the same number. However, they cannot play on the side of the ball per NFL rules. What you see on other rosters is the same way. For example, the Chiefs have a duplicate of the number 2 Dalton Schoen who is a wide receiver and Dicaprio Bootle who is a cornerback.--Rockchalk717 15:27, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
