As of 2023, I remain concerned that WP has no handle on WP:POV editors and paid advocates on wikipedia, who undermine the neutrality of a page, who will manufacture controversy, who spread fear, uncertainty and doubt, who isolate critical content and critical editors by divide and rule tactics, and who don't shy away from incivility and social undermining.

The idea of self-policing, expecting editors to play nice and recuse themselves if they have a conflict of interest, remains neither realistic nor enforceable.

Thanks to investigative journalism, picked up in the WP: Signpost by HaeB and Andreas Kolbe, for example here WP:Wikipedia_Signpost/2023-07-17/In_the_media, the community occasionally gets reminded, how WP is instrumentalized and how damaging the issue is.

info on a user and/or user talk page is entirely optional, as is the method (e.g. the icons in the upper right corner).
If you want to see who is an administrator, you can look at Wikipedia:List of administrators. To see what rights a specific user holds, the quickest way is Special:Listusers and enter the username in the box. For arbitrators, you need to look at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee#Members. (talk page stalker) some e-mail providers, including Yahoo and Gmail I believe, refuse to forward messages originating from other servers—including Wikimedia’s—as suspicious. There was some discussion at VPT last year, here for example. In case this is the obstacle you’re facing, the only workaround I know of is to put an address from a different service in your Preferences, at least temporarily, assuming you have access to an alternative.—Odysseus1479 04:21, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

flow and resistence

Thank you, user who signed the Neurotypical / Autism spectrum interaction pact, for "added references, summary of facts", for quality articles based on professional expertise, such as Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality and Physicians in the United States Congress, for welcoming new users with individual advice, and your plans for Antibiotic resistance which will need resistance, for "I think knowledge is like clean water and must flow" and Amen, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

The Teamwork Barnstar
I said it all above, but there is nothing wrong with saying it twice - plus you are pretty good at removing superfluous content so that there is room on the servers for this award.   Bfpage  let's talk...  11:41, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
