About Me
editThis is my account for personal edits. As part of my work for BYU I edit Wikipedia under the name Rachel Helps (BYU). I'm interested in Mormon feminism, social psychology, videogames, and classical music.
Conflict of Interest Statement
editThis is the account I use for edits I make off-the-clock. I have personal connections to everything and everyone I have edited about on this account. Not sure how I would find the desire to edit for it outside of work otherwise. Please ask if you are curious.
Two main pages I have edited with this account have come up in discussion:
- Michael Austin (writer) - when I wrote this page, Mike was my friend, and at this point, we are also co-authors. Mike is on my thesis committee for a Master's in English literature, with a focus on Mormon literature, that I am currently pursuing at Brigham Young University. Mike does not work at BYU. He is the provost of Snow College. I have helped Mike learn how to edit Wikipedia in personal and professional capacities.
- The ARCH-HIVE - this is an artist collective I am a part of. I have not received any remuneration for my contributions to one of the zines, one of the podcast episodes, or my blog posts for them. I was not on the panel in 2019 that gave them the special award for their zines. I was on the novel judging panel that year. I am a supporter of them on Patreon. I consider my participation in the ARCH-HIVE similar to a hobby.
