The Hyundai T engine is Hyundai's first V8 diesel engine. Built exclusively by Hyundai Motor Company's Wanju truck plant, it comes in two versions. All versions are connected to 8-speed A8R50 automatic transmission.
T (D8BA)
editThe T (D8BA) engine produces 388 hp (289 kW; 393 PS) at 3,200 rpm, and 750 N⋅m (553 lb⋅ft) at 2,200 rpm. The engine has been exclusively designed to run on ultra-low-sulfur diesel (EN 590) for greater efficiency.
AdBlue is standard on all engines.

T II (D8BB)
editThe T II (D8BA) with CRDi injection, is improved significantly over T I (D8BA) engine, in terms of horsepower and torque. It produces 415 hp (309 kW; 421 PS) at 3,200 rpm and 1,200 N⋅m (885 lb⋅ft) at 2,100 rpm. It is South Korea's most powerful CRDi engine ever in a production car.
