I am Jacob de Wolff, a Dutch doctor living and working in the United Kingdom as a consultant in acute medicine. I have been a Wikipedian since February 2004 and an administrator since 10 May 2004.
My role on Wikipedia:
- My main interest is medicine, and WikiProject "Medicine" (formerly "WikiDoc", then for a long time "WikiProject Clinical medicine") started on this userpage. I have contributed to a number of Good and Featured articles in medicine.
- I do edits on Judaism articles and participate in Wikiproject "Judaism".
- I believe that you cannot build an encyclopedia on poor sources. I therefore prefer to remove health content that cannot be supported with sources that meet WP:MEDRS standards. I am always happy to explain these edits.
- In the interest of verifiability I aim to use academic sources that are freely available, but not at the expense of the quality of the source.
- It has been suggested that I coined "not here to [build] an encyclopedia"[2]
