"ARTEST4ECHO" came from a combination of my current location and the Rush song Test for Echo. My first activity used e-mail account was started in 1996 (the release date of Test for Echo) was TESTivECHO@aol.com. I used Roman numerals, since TEST4ECHO was very quickly claimed by another AOL user. When I moved from the Los Angles Area (and was able to leave AOL) to the Little Rock Arkansas Area, ARTEST4ECHO was Born.
I try to keep faith out of all my edits. I feel that faith, both mine and other editors, is irrelevant. If we follow WP:NOPV it shouldn't matter if I'm Mormon, Roman Catholic, atheist, or anything else.
However, as we all know, religion is a very hot topic. I often find myself being accused of being both a "Mormon apologists" AND "Anti-Mormon" I actually find that very funny and somewhat comforting. If Anti-Mormon's feel I'm a Mormon apologists, but Mormon apologists think I'm Anti-Mormon, perhaps I'm actually following WP:NPOV, since both sides think I'm the other.
While I do have family history within the Latter Day Saint movement, from several sects, ultimately, my edits are based on the fact that, I find the Latter Day Saint movement interesting, but from a historical (not religious) point of view. Nothing more. I also try to view the entire Latter Day Saint movement as a whole, as my family history comes from the LDS, RLDS, Alston, and other sects, not just the LDS Church.
Until recently I have intentionally not said what religion I am, as I still feel it is irrelevant. However events made it necessary. To be clear, I am not a "Mormon", nor am I "Anti-Mormon". If I HAD to describe my faith, I would call myself a Deists as I believe in the existence of God, but not any particular religion, religious authority or holy text. However, like most titles, that isn't a 100% match either. I do have family history in the Latter Day Saint Movement (not just the LDS Church but several sects), so I find that topic interesting, which is why I edit that topic alot. I do not hold any particular grudge against the LDS Church or Community of Christ. My feeling about the Latter Day Saint Movement, or any other religion for that matter, is basically one of "I don't see the harm, but I just to buy it".
My very first job, after college, was for Boeing Satellite Systems working on the the Spaceway program (Spaceway 1 and 2) and Wideband Gapfiller System WGS-1. Later, after a round of Boeing layoffs, I move to a company in Arkansas building aerospace paperwork with attached optical encoders. Anyone who has worked an aerospace project knows what I mean.
I have had my hand in building encoders for a large number of things. Those include, but are not limited to, Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM) (part of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), and replacement parts to the Patriot missile and the Very Large Array (VLA) radio astronomy observatory.

The Mediator Barnstar
For your recent efforts to mediate an ongoing mini edit-war at Missouri Executive Order 44. And on a more personal note: thanks for helping me 'cool down' about it... I deeply appreciate that, too! - Ecjmartin (talk) 01:06, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
