"spoilers" in WP plot summaries
editIf this was 1968 it might be a "spoiler" to mention the "badmin-ska" competition (or the fact that the amorous brother and sister go skinny dipping afterward for that matter); a survey of Plot sections of 40 year old movies on Wikipedia shows no regard for hiding notable plot points as possible "spoilers". I would caution anyone wanting to be surprised by any movie listing on WP to NOT read the Plot sections. Naaman Brown (talk) 17:05, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Academy Award nomination
editIt's worth mentioning that this film was nominated for an Academy Award for best live-action short film, 1968.
Ironically, the film begins with a mock pre-title card proclaiming it as the winner of the "Golden Escargot" at the "Pan-Europa Festival Du Cinema."
Language of this film is not English.
editGreetings fellow Wikipedians!
I’ve noticed that the language of De Düva is indicated as “English” on the summary table. As the summary paragraph explains, this is not the case; while the language is English-based, and although this is for comical effect, and while there are English subtitles, and despite the fact that it is shot in an English-speaking country, the spoken film language is a fictional one that is heavily based on English. I will change the table to reflect this for now, however I would much appreciate any other opinions in this regard! 213.205.241.226 (talk) 17:15, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
