Hi please take time to see Aoki's official MMA record. His last exhibition fight with a k1 kickboxer in a special rules fight was not counted as an MMA fight! It shouldn't be on his MMA record 86.173.93.89 (talk) 01:59, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. BrendanFrye (talk) 03:45, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

KO loss removed, but MMA exhibition bout record added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.200.43.132 (talk) 06:37, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't it be removed from Nagashima's page as well then? 128.210.10.11 (talk) 16:35, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Indeed it should... exhibition matches should never be added to professional records. I went ahead and took the liberty of removing it from Jienotsu's page. Dachknanddarice (TC) 16:51, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mixed martial arts exhibition record

edit

It is wrong for Aoki's bout with Yuichiro Nagashima to be on the same record as his exhibition with Fedor Emelianenko. One was a light hearted exhibition, while the other was a competitive mixed rules bout. The fight with Yuichiro Nagashima was a "Dream/K-1 special rules bout".84.13.203.1 (talk) 18:35, 20 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

~I have to agree. The Fedor "fight" was a bit of fun, not really a loss that should be counted against his record. BodvarBjarki (talk) 14:42, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

- I think the whole record should be removed, both fights. Why exactly have a record table of these fights? they are one offs. Mention them in the bio but a record for them? Why exactly? pointless. A fighter's record for professional recognised sports like kickboxing or mma, but not for random exhibitions they do over the course of their careers.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.148.77.23 (talk) 00:25, 20 January 2012 (UTC) -- I also think that the Fedor one should be removed, it was a sparring match and not actually a competitive bout like the one against Nagashima. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.172.33.82 (talk) 06:35, 11 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
