By December 1937, Budyonny had been allocated a dacha measuring 241.1 cubic feet, with large orchards, 207 raspberry bushes, a workhorse, a black cow and a pig weighing 550 pounds.[18]

That all seems well and good, but 241 cubic feet is a cube six by six by six, not even large enough for one room. I think they must have been meaning to say square meters, as 241 square meters would be 2594 square feet, which is a nice sized house, fit for a general.

Leave out the measurement.--Jack Upland (talk) 01:09, 23 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

The source has 241 cubic feet, but the Russian version of the same book (http://loveread.ec/read_book.php?id=79864&p=197) gives the dimensions as 3150 m3, which is huge. I don't think there is any need for the precise measurement in any case, so I've just edited it to "a large dacha" Timchik (talk) 02:47, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

the problem with the image with the caption Budyonny at Marshal Tukhachevsky's Show Trial, 1937

edit

Dear Contributors, the image SM-Budyonny-01.jpg has several serious problems: 1) one can click on the image hyperlink (source) to find out that its cropped so badly that in fact it is distorted; 2) the caption in Russian reads that Budyonny is in fact in the Moscow aviation school. Dacha size

“By December 1937, Budyonny had been allocated a dacha measuring 241.1 cubic feet, with large orchards, 207 raspberry bushes, a workhorse, a black cow and a pig weighing 550 pounds. [18] “

241 cubic feet, for reference, is about the volume of a modern postal van. Could somebody with access to the source correct this typo? Numeitor (talk) 23:59, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
