Move to Santiago (disambiguation)
editA Google search suggests that Santiago de Chile is by far the dominant use of Santiago. I propose we move this page to Santiago (disambiguation) and Santiago, Chile to Santiago. -Oreo Priest talk 14:47, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. And done. Rich Farmbrough, 16:11, 24 December 2010 (UTC).
Chile should be listed before Brazil and Cape Verde
editSantiago, Chile is the largest of the cities named Santiago, and it's the only one that's a capital. It also is what people are most likely going to be looking for since it was just in the news (with the earthquake there and all).--FifthCylon (talk) 13:46, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- True. I think also Spain's and Cuba's should be given some priority. Oreo Priest talk 13:50, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- In long lists of geographic entries, it's usually preferred to list entries alphabetically by nation, so that all entries can be easily found. OTOH, it could be that the city in Chile is the primary topic of "Santiago", and this page should be moved to Santiago (disambiguation) so that the base name can redirect to the city article. -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:57, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
