Content

edit

Remind, content should be encyclopedic, not speculative. Wikipedia is not the place for stuff like "he's in talks to sign with so and so". It should be something that has happened and can be referenced. It should not be speculation about what may happen. Agassiz830 (talk) 17:47, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

TV Commentator for ESPN

edit

Martinez has also served as a commentator and analyst for ESPN and famously covered the 2010 Cup as well as other football/soccer events for ESPN. It is, arguably, an important part of his career and accomplishments. Source. https://espnmediazone.com/us/bios/roberto-martinez/

Same message to whoever keeps changing his current club to "Everton F. C." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Migster (talkcontribs) 12:24, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • That's partially my fault, for not paying proper attention to what I was reverting to. That user is on their final warning, if they do that again, I'll be taking them to AIV. One IP actually changed it to say that Martinez was Celtic's manager... Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 12:32, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

On the wikipedia page for Roberto Martinez, the figures are wrong in the table talking about his managerial statistics. He has managed 302 games instead of 301 and 176 have been for wigan instead of 175.

Gutiérrez or Montoliú?

edit

In this article it's stated that his second family name is Gutiérrez, but on the Roberto Martinez (disambiguation) page it states Montoliú...which is correct? Dylanfromthenorth (talk) 21:26, 26 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Martínez Montoliú Per LFP official site. Matthew_hk tc 05:51, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Three centre-backs

edit

Would it be worth mentioning Martinez' tactical shift to three centre-backs with wing-backs towards the end of the 2011-12 season as a reason for their upturn in form? (Martinez obviously prefers it at the moment, as he has begun the 2012-13 season using the same formation.) Thingymajig1 (talk) 01:00, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Spurs
