Were there no other African American mayors of towns before Henry? The article states that he was the first African American mayor of any city, but going back to Reconstruction were there no African American mayors of towns? Badagnani04:46, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Will check with my grandmother or mom, but I believe he was the first African American mayor of any US city. I don't know about towns, I've just always been told he was the first of any city. Morhange05:47, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
