editThe current version of the article includes a legal argument that isn't an accurate statement of Texas law.
After Leach lost his appeal in the 7th Court of Appeals, he filed a petition for review with the Texas Supreme Court asking it to take the case. The Texas Supreme Court denied the petition and did not take the case. The current version of the article says this was an indication that the Texas Supreme Court agreed that Leach's suit was meritless. That's not quite true.
Under Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 56.1(b), denial of a petition for review means that the Texas Supreme Court believes the court of appeals committed no errors of law "of such importance to the jurisprudence of the state as to require correction . . . ." So the Texas Supreme Court didn't indicate that it believes Leach's suit has no merit. The court may very well believe that, but it's ruling only indicated that the 7th Court of Appeals didn't commit any error that is so important to the body of Texas law as to require reversal.
I edited the article to remove the incorrect statement about the meaning of the Texas Supreme Court's denial of review.
I haven't edited something before, so I don't know how to sign this. Sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.197.207.10 (talk) 17:00, 15 April 2019 (UTC)

editI may be missing something, but "he closely followed the exploits of the football team" would warrant a citation if only to show some significance to his career. The next sentence naming the coaches and quarterbacks of a team (and the uncommonness of its style of play) on which he apparently never played seems to need some justification for inclusion. editWhy did Wikipedia remove what it said yesterday that he suffered a massive heart attack and went untreated for 15 to 20 minutes? 2603:7000:6E3C:4A83:9AB:7F73:CD2C:5FA7 (talk) 23:41, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- No one removed it, it's in Mike Leach (American football coach)#Death. Mackensen (talk) 00:18, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
Why is there nothing about the death except in the intro, and the last seasons are incomplete? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.192.29 (talk) 20:35, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
Quotes
editshouldn't there be a section about his notorious quotes? he seems to be second only to yogi berra in this regard. news, sportscasters, etc have been discussing it heavily since his death. 2601:19C:527F:A660:CDED:2D40:799B:FFA2 (talk) 20:02, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
