Ian Curtis
editThe Ian Curtis Wall redirects to the Ian Curtis (musician) page which contains no references to an Ian Curtis Wall in Wellington, New Zealand. There is no reference to an Ian Curtis wall on the Wellington page either. Is the existence of this wall substantiated and does it merit enough cultural significance to be included on List of Walls? I think it should be removed. 71.113.154.193 03:17, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Wow... not that many famous walls in the world.
Perhaps the Australian dingo fence should be included.
It's a pathetic indictment of Wikipedia's supposed neutrality that the West Bank Barrier is listed as a supernumerary and not as a wall. Shame. Stargoat 16:56, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- On the contrary, it's an indictment of your own lack of neutrality that you would imagine something that is 93% fenced, and which combines many other features, should be described as a "wall". Jayjg (talk) 18:10, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
Chronology
editShouldn't Basel City Walls be in the Ancient/Feudal section? It's certainly older than Flodden Wall. What is the cut-off between feudal and modern eras? Perhaps a simpler division into before 500AD (Classical, Roman, Biblical) ending with fall of Western Roman empire; medieval (including early modern?) perhaps up until the end of the era of castle building; and modern maybe after 1800 --Maltelauridsbrigge (talk) 18:25, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Longest city walls
editWhat about Genoa (Italy) fortifications? There is an article on Italian wikipedia, but there is no mention about them on the (much richer and exhaustive) English version! The complete circle of the Genoese "Mura nuove" ("New" since they were built between 1626 and 1639, while, for comparison, the oldest one or the remaining four progressively expanding sets were built before the year 1000) is longer then 20 kilometers.
Should we have a section for famous fences?
editI can't think of that many, but there have been a lot in the DMZ/no-mans land category over the years that are essentially fences. Or does it deserve a separate article as List of fences? --Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:38, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

List of walls in use
editThe separating wall in Western Sahara is not listed, despite having its own Wiki page at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moroccan_Western_Sahara_Wall T290351 (talk) 09:13, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
Western Wall / Wailing Wall
editNot sure if I have missed something or lack knowledge on the subject, but shouldn't the Western Wall, aka the Wailing Wall, be included? 188.30.99.68 (talk) 14:39, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- Seems it is missing indeed. Jidanni (talk) 09:43, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
