Talk:Kristin Hayter

Common name?

Almost all coverage on Hayter centers on her project as Lingua Ignota. I believe either the title should change (more likely) or there should be a separate article to cover it. Don't get me wrong, background is important, but very few people (from a cursory Google search) seem to be discussing her early ouvre independently. --181.115.108.90 (talk) 01:00, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think I would agree. I will look into requesting a move. mike•owen discuss 19:24, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Just to clarify, I don't want a page split, just a move. mike•owen discuss 22:39, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Kristin HayterLingua Ignota (musician) – Per WP:STAGENAME, this page should be moved since not only does she release her work under Lingua Ignota, reliable sources refer to her under her stage name in article titles (although do call her Hayter in the body - but pretty much never in the title), rather than real name (https://www.kerrang.com/the-news/full-of-hell-and-lingua-ignota-announced-as-roadburn-2020-artists-in-residence/, https://www.popmatters.com/lingua-ignota-caligula-review-2639639918.html, https://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/jul/19/lingua-ignota-caligula-review-profound-lore-kristin-hayter). All reviews of her latest album Caligula (her first really to achieve significant critical attention) have her name in the title. Also, take Liz Harris, who releases her music under the name of Grouper: her page is on Grouper (musician), not Liz Harris. mike•owen discuss 19:41, 4 September 2019 (UTC) --Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 15:51, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

At the moment the rather short article mentions three times that "Kristin Hayter is a survivor of domestic violence". FJannidis (talk) 15:38, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Politics are central to understanding the band Rage Against the Machine and their article mentions the topic 15-20 times. Domestic violence and sexual assault are central to understanding Lingua Ignota / Kristen Hayter. It's part of why she started recording music in the first place and is a central theme to most of her lyrics. If anything, three times is too little. Fezmar9 (talk) 23:31, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Excellent point and well said. BromoPhenethylamine (talk) 19:57, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
