Hi, I really think this is a great article! Good job! I have one comment however... this phrase strikes me as odd. "(though he was not a licensed physician)" Was that even an issue in the 1600s? I know that was when the physician guilds were just getting started... Did you even need any kind of credentials to practice medicine at the time? If not, then the comment is irrelevant... if so, then... forget I said anything. :) ---J.S (t|c) 05:28, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey, thanks for the comments. According to an article from The Journal of Modern History (1947), Lambe actually attempted to get a medical license from the College of Physicians in 1627, but was refused. I'll cite the article in the text. Zagalejo 18:51, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, very nicely done! I added the WikiProject Paranormal tag to the article just now. I'd love for nother project members to see what a good job you've done on this! Lisapollison 09:39, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I moved the tag here, BTW, since most project tags are placed on talk pages. Zagalejo 17:46, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hong Kong film Dr. Lambe - any connection?

edit

There was a category III (like rated nc17) HK film in the mid-1990s starring Anthony Wong that featured a diabolical character called Dr. Lambe. Any chance that the name was lifted from hisotry? It was based on a real sick jeffrey dahmer type charcter who actually existed and chopped up people in his family apartment in HK. I believe he was a taxi driver.Lisapollison

Hmmm...interesting. I'm not aware of any connection, but it's always possible. I should look into this. Thanks! Zagalejo 17:46, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think I might be off base here. First of all, I was wrong about the actor, It's Simon Yam (Yam Tak Wah) and not Anthony Wong. The film was made in 1992 and they spell Lambe as Lamb. Here's a link to the IMDB page for the film: Gou yeung yi sang AKA Dr. Lamb. it is based on a real case. I just thought maybe they cribbed the name.Lisapollison 14:41, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ah, thanks for looking that up. Zagalejo 14:45, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
