John Ferris (cricketer) → J. J. Ferris – per WP:COMMONNAME. As is somewhat common among cricketers (WG Grace, MJK Smith, JP Duminy to name but three) Ferris was much better known by his initials than his given name. This is supported by his ESPNCricinfo profile here Mattinbgn (talk) 05:20, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Seems to be the common name and also has the added bonus of removing the "(cricketer)" disambiguation from the title. Jenks24 (talk) 06:14, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support – a lot of these early cricketers should at least have redirects from their initials anyway in my opinion. But in this case, clearly the common name. Harrias talk 19:45, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support – No doubt, as J. J. Ferris is more common name. — Bill william comptonTalk 05:43, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
