editOk, I'm just curious-- where does that leave for the "regular" elves in Forgotten Realm settings? Penwhale 03:09, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- There are no "regular" Elves in FR, just lots of varieties of Elves. Most adventuring Elves in 1st and 2nd Ed D&D were High Elves, but the distinction is blurrier in 3rd Ed., and Forgotten Realms replaces High Elves with Moon or Sun Elves (the other one replaces Gray Elves). 12.22.250.4 23:30, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
This article says that in the Warcraft universe, High elves are the "pale-skinned descendants of magic-addicted Night Elves" and that "They are considered a separate race from another group of Night Elven origin, the militant Blood Elves." This is greatly inaccurate. As far as High Elves being decendent from Night Elves, I'm not sure, but the High Elves were the ones that were magic addicted, as shown when they become the Blood Elves. And High Elves and Blood Elves are not a "separate race" at all. It's closer to say that Blood Elves are a sect of High Elves who chose to seek other means in preserving thier ability to use magic after the destruction of the Sun Well, which was the source of thier magical energies. But Blood Elves and High Elves are not seperate races at all, they are the same race.
Eldar are the good guys?
editSorry but in Warhammar 40K aren't Eldar evil pirates? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kai Su? (talk • contribs) 19:35, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- That's dark eldar. They wear pointy armour and worship the god of murder. Eldar are different. --84.66.21.77 (talk) 19:26, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
