Goliad Hanging Tree
editGreetings editors and contributors.
I only visited Goliad once in 2009. While there I saw the Goliad Hanging Tree. I was surprised when I came here after reading Rich Frishman's "Ghosts of Segregation" photo essay to find the tree is not mentioned at all.
The tree is in courthouse square in the middle of town. Nearest street address is 184 N. Courthouse Square, Goliad, TX 77963. It has an official State of Texas historic marker, seen in these Flickr creative commons images.
Can I suggest the following changes. 1. Move the Texas mile text from attractions to history after the 1902 Tornado section. 2. Add the hanging tree with suitable/acceptable reference to the attractions section and a brief description. 3. Source a picture of the tree and add it to the gallery.
I am not an experienced contributor, but would be willing to help make the changes.--Cathcam (talk) 20:32, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
