Criticism

edit

The allegations in the Criticism section have been responded to by F-Droid and others, yet there is no mention of that. Also, that section references a single, non-independent source, which may or may not itself be reliable. The article has been tagged accordingly, feel free to improve. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.36.150.191 (talk) 13:15, 20 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

WP:PRIMARY, to tag or not to tag?

edit

The following do not look WP:PRIMARY to me.

  • Ref 6 from AndroidCentral by Jerry Hildenbrand
  • Ref 7 from The Powerbase by "Tom Nardi: Tom is a Network Engineer with focus on GNU/Linux and open source software. He is a frequent submitter to "2600", and maintains a personal site of his projects and areas of research at: www.digifail.com ."
  • Ref 14 from Free Software Foundation. It is an interview of F-Droid's founder, but it is published by an independent organization.
  • Ref 17 published by Fosdem. It is a talk by an F-Droid developer, but it is published by an independent organization.
  • Ref 18, 19, 20, 21 published by Replicant (Free Software Foundation), independent organization.
  • Ref. 22 published by Guardian Project, independent organization.
  • Ref. 23, 24 published by FSFE, independent organization
  • Ref. 25, published by GNU, independent organization.

I could go on, but we evidently have different understandings of "primary" sources; I will untag. -- Yae4 (talk) 16:59, 13 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'll let others participate; I'll just clarify that I meant "primary or self-published" in my edit summary, not just primary. DFlhb (talk) 18:54, 13 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
