Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Agreeing that "Brazilian" was not a nationality at the time, which nationality was Domingos Jorge Velho? None? Uncertain? Ninguém (talk) 12:35, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Could you please stop following my edits and making unnecessary changes in the articles I recently edited? Who is the Bishop of Olinda and why did you include this unknown person here? He has nothing to do with the article. Even if he is the one who claimed Velho did not speak Portuguese, there's no need to cite this unknown person there. I won't start a new useless discussion. Who is the Bishop? Nobody knows. In the book, Ribeiro may cite him in a historic context, but here to cite this Bishop is an unnecessary and out of place information. Opinoso (talk) 22:55, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Why useless? Ribeiro wasn't there to know what language(s) Velho spoke. He therefore needed a primary source. The primary source in this case is the Bishop of Olinda. Ninguém (talk) 23:04, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
