Sh letter
editThis article says:
For instance, chatur 4 early on took a ¥ shape much like the Kharosthi letter ch; panca 5 looks remarkably like Kharosthi p; and so on through shat 6, sapta 7, and nava 9 (Kharosthi sh, s, n).
However, the Kharosthi article doesn't reveal an sh letter. What's wrong here?? Georgia guy (talk) 18:22, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Both ś and ṣ are "sh", though I don't know which one this article means. Shreevatsa (talk) 18:29, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- And this can be improved by replacing the Unicode characters at Kharosthi (which show up as boxes on my computer) with images. Georgia guy (talk) 18:32, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- The 'ch' letter is 𐨕 U+10A15 KHAROSHTHI LETTER CA (see code chart). The author used a largely superseded transliteration system, as should have been obvious from his spelling of catur. --RichardW57 (talk) 15:48, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
