Anderson Powerpole color code chart is a bit confusing
editI was reading the datasheet of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Powerpole#cite_note-11 and I found that the color code is specifically referring only to the Anderson power Multipole Family SBS®, SB® & SBX® / SBO® under section "Explanation of Mechanical Voltage Keys".
I think we need to have two separate color coded table... as Australia uses SB50 plugs and grey and black is able to connect together... Read SB ® 50 Standard Housings and see the explanation "SB® 50 Black and Gray housings have the same keying features and can be intermated." found in https://www.andersonpower.com/content/dam/app/ecommerce/product-pdfs/SB50/ds-sb50.pdf
So basically we then need to figure out how to separate the "Alternate non-Anderson-suggested uses" between the "SB50" plug family that Australia uses for the 12v camping family... vs whatever this SBS®, SB® & SBX® / SBO® plug that this table colour code is actually referring to...

Wikilinks
editI resolved some redlinks and added more Wikilinks as appropriate, but some items that should be linked are not defined:
- "2-wire trailer plug" -- Is this the "SAE connector", or something else?
- "Cinch Jones connector" -- Please define, or create a stub article
- "Singlepole connector" -- This is pulled out of a hat, not defined, and never mentioned again; please define or remove

editI checked Wikimedia Commons, and none of the photos available show the Powerpole contacts and housings that clearly. The hermaphroditic feature is important, and should be illustrated more clearly. Also, if anyone can come up with pix of the other connectors mentioned above, they would be useful for related articles. --Reify-tech (talk) 13:10, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Ham-radio centric?
editI find it very strange that this article starts its lede with a mention of the ham radio community, as if they (we) were the most important or notable users. Jeh (talk) 12:10, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Hermaphroditic?
editAll instances of the word "hermaphroditic" should be replaced with "genderless." [1] These connectors do not exhibit both male and female attributes in the same connector (some inter-PCB connectors actually do this). Genderless is a more appropriate adjective (and the one used by Anderson Power Products) since these connectors do not exhibit either male or female attributes.
