Eugene James Rice[1] (born July 1950), better known as Gene Rice, is a American singer-songwriter from Balitimore, Maryland, United States.[2] Rice was the youngest of seven kids, he grew up in a musical family and Rice later moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his music career.[3] Which also led to his signing recording contract with RCA Records.[3]

His first debut single "You're A Victim," which peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot R&B singles chart where it stayed for 14 weeks in the chart.[4] His second single "You're Gonna Get Served," which gained mainstream recognition and peak at number 12 R&B singles chart.[2][5]
