Anson Boon (born 15 February 2000) is an English actor.

Early life

Boon was born in Peterborough.[1][2] His father is an amateur DJ, originally from a farming family, and his mother is from a working-class London family.[3] He has a younger brother.[4] He dropped out of college to pursue acting professionally, choosing not to attend drama school.[3][5]

Career

He made his professional acting debut in the children's sitcom All at Sea in 2014.[3] In 2019, he was named as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow.[5] That year, he had roles in the films Blackbird and 1917.[6] In 2020, he starred in his first lead role in the mystery drama film The Winter Lake alongside Emma Mackey.[5] In 2022, he played Johnny Rotten in the miniseries Pistol, directed by Danny Boyle.[7][8]
