- Describe the brave deeds of Indra, which the wielder of the thunderbolt had, formerly, performed. – Dutt 1906
- I will proclaim the manly deeds of Indra, The first that he performed, the lightning-wielder. – Macdonell 1922
- I will tell the heroic deeds of Indra, those which the Wielder of the Thunderbolt first accomplished. – Doniger 1975
