"Drug manufacturers and cartels continue to adapt their practices, develop new chemicals, move fast to evade our efforts. We have to move faster," said President Biden.
“In the fight for our democracies in the 21st century, the front lines are increasingly online,” declared Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
"Nicholas Maduro’s regime has resorted to a campaign of violence and intimidation aimed at suppressing the democratic opposition and the Venezuelan people," said Deputy Assistant Secretary Roig.
"Never forget, we are here to serve the people, not the other way around," said President Joe Biden at his last speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

One priority of the UNGA is working together to address conflict and crises in places like Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Haiti, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Burma, where hundreds of millions of people face uncertain futures.
"As we seek to accelerate the development of clean energy supply chains, we must simultaneously put in place enforceable worker protection," said Labor Deputy Under Secretary Lee.
"Children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Bolivia are mining critical minerals like cobalt, copper, lithium, manganese, tantalum, tin, tungsten, and zinc," said Labor Under Secretary Lee.
"Protecting civilians and creating a more peaceful and secure environment for them should be at the core of peacekeeping," said Ambassador Wood.
"Local organizations and communities are closest to the crisis, and that gives them a really unique take on the issues at hand. They're usually the first people responding in an emergency," said Danielle Mutone-Smith.
“The Nicaraguan people want and deserve a restored democracy where all can exercise their human rights and fundamental freedoms, free from fear of persecution or reprisal,” said Secretary Blinken.
"The Haitian people – not Haitian gangs – will write the country’s future," said Secretary Blinken.
