“By improving the backbone of our supply chains, better infrastructure will help ensure that the goods that our people rely on — semiconductors, electric vehicle batteries, medical supplies — are more affordable, more secure and made right here in the Americas,” said Secretary Blinken.
"To create more equitable, sustainable, and peaceful communities across Colombia, more must be done to expand land rights, climate-smart agriculture, and access to financing," said Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield.
"Politics ought to be an arena for peaceful debate, to pursue justice, to make decisions guided by the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution," said President Biden.

“This critical step toward that will give the Haitian people an opportunity to select their leaders democratically for the first time in years," said Assistant Secretary Nichols.
“We believe that Cuba’s dynamic private sector offers ordinary Cubans opportunity for a better life,” said Deputy Assistant Secretary Jacobstein.
“We know the powerful change that’s possible when governments and civil society come together to stand up for … religious freedom,” said Ambassador Hussain.
"Over generations, our nation has welcomed hundreds of thousands of refugees facing religious persecution. We work relentlessly to secure the release of people in prison for exercising their right to religious freedom around the globe," said Secretary Blinken.
"For the third consecutive year, there was notable progress to combat labor trafficking, with labor trafficking convictions and victim identifications," said Ambassador Dyer.
"Today governments around the world continue to target individuals, shutter places of worship, forcibly displace communities, and imprison people because of their religious beliefs,” said Secretary Blinken.
