Submit an application to the TED-Ed Student Talks program


When to apply:

You can apply at any time in the year, however we will approve applications only 3 times a year on April 1, August 1 and December 1. All approved applications will receive 12 months of access from the approval date. Leaders will need to renew their access at the end of these 12 months.

Here’s a helpful guide to help plan ahead and think about which month you'd like to start your program:

  • Application window 1 - April 1:
    • If you wish to start your program at any point during the months of April - July, select this option.
  • Application window 2 - August 1:
    • If you wish to start your program at any point during the months of August - November, select this option.
  • Application window 3 - December 1:
    • If you wish to start your program at any point during the months of December - March (of the following year), select this option.

Who can apply:

This program is designed to support educators working with students ages 6-18 in a classroom, school, extra-curricular setting or youth/educational organization. Please consider the following statements to help determine who can apply:

  • All educators who apply must be 21 years or older
  • Educators should not be using this program with University level students
  • Educators can be outside of the traditional classroom setting, including (but not limited to): a librarian, a curriculum or technology coordinator, a district administrator, a homeschool parent, or a youth organization program leader

Note: Please ensure that every individual educator who will be using the TED-Ed Student Talks program and resources submits a separate application so that they can gain full access.

Steps to apply:

Follow these steps to complete the TED-Ed Student Talks application (approx. 5-10 minutes). Applications must be submitted in English.

  • Step 1: Click the “Let’s get started” button below.
  • Step 2: Register or sign-in into your TED/TED-Ed account.
  • Step 3: Register or update your school/organization. Please pick the organization type that best fits your school/organization:
    • School (i.e. Nottingham High School)
    • Group of schools (i.e. Elizabeth Forward School District)
    • Nonprofit local chapter/location (i.e Boys and Girls Club El Paso)
    • National/International nonprofit office (i.e. Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Board of Canada)
  • Step 4: Answer questions about you as an educator and about the students who will be participating.
  • Step 5: Submit your application and look out for an email from [email protected].
