Migration Tool
The Migration Tool allows you to seamlessly import subscriptions from other platforms into Subscord. If you're transitioning from another subscription management service, this feature makes it easy to bring your existing subscribers over without losing any data.
Supported Platforms
Currently, the Migration Tool supports importing from:
- Whop - Full support for CSV exports from the Whop users page
We plan to expand support to additional platforms in the future, including:
- LaunchPass
- Upgrade.chat
- And more!
How It Works
The migration process is simple and straightforward:
- Export your subscribers as a CSV file from your current platform
- Upload the CSV to Subscord's Migration Tool
- Review the imported data
- Select the Subscord product to assign
- Import all subscriptions with one click
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Export Your Data
First, export your subscriber data from your current platform.
For Whop:
- Log in to your Whop dashboard
- Navigate to the Users page
- Export your users as a CSV file
Step 2: Access the Migration Tool
- Go to your Subscord Dashboard
- Navigate to the Subscriptions section
- Click *Import
Step 3: Upload Your CSV
You can upload your CSV file in two ways:
- Drag and Drop: Simply drag your CSV file into the upload area
- Click to Upload: Click the upload area to browse and select your file

Step 4: Review Imported Data
Once your CSV is uploaded, Subscord will automatically parse the file and display all the Discord users and their associated emails found in the data.
You'll see a list showing:
- Discord usernames/IDs
- Email addresses
- Expiry dates (automatically extracted from the CSV)

Step 5: Select the Target Product
Before importing, you need to select which Subscord product the imported subscriptions will be created for:
- Click on the Product dropdown
- Select the product you want to assign to imported subscriptions.
- You can apply a product in bulk, or you can customize per-subscription.
Step 6: Configure Expiry Dates (Optional)
Subscord automatically extracts expiry dates from your Whop CSV export. However, you can modify these dates if needed:
- Keep Original Dates: Use the expiry dates from the CSV as-is
- Set Custom Dates: Override the dates for individual subscribers or all at once
Step 7: Import Subscriptions
Once you've reviewed everything and selected your target product:
- Click the Import button
- Subscord will create subscription records for all imported users
- The associated Discord roles will be automatically assigned
What Gets Imported
When you import subscriptions from a CSV, Subscord creates complete subscription records including:
- Discord User: The user's Discord account is linked to the subscription
- Email Address: The customer's email is stored for notifications and receipts
- Expiry Date: The subscription expiry date (from CSV or custom configured)
- Product Assignment: The subscription is tied to your selected Subscord product
- Role Assignment: Discord roles are automatically granted based on the product configuration
Tips for a Smooth Migration
- Test with a small batch first: If you have many subscribers, consider testing the import with a few users first to ensure everything works as expected
- Verify your product setup: Make sure the target Subscord product is fully configured with the correct Discord roles before importing
- Check expiry dates: Review the extracted expiry dates to ensure they're accurate before importing
- Communicate with your subscribers: Let your community know about the migration to avoid confusion (see note below)
Important: Subscriber Notifications
After importing, your subscribers will start receiving expiry notifications from Subscord via email and Discord DMs. These reminders notify them when their subscription is about to expire and prompt them to renew.
This means your subscribers may receive messages from a new sender (Subscord) that they haven't seen before. To avoid confusion or subscribers thinking these are spam/scam messages, we strongly recommend announcing the migration to your community beforehand.
Consider sending a message in your Discord server or via email letting subscribers know:
- You've migrated to Subscord for subscription management
- They will start receiving renewal reminders from Subscord
- These messages are legitimate and related to their existing subscription
