Overview

Meter’s Client VPN enables remote users to securely connect to your network from anywhere, whether at home or on the road. There is no additional cost to use the VPN.

How to set up the VPN server

  1. Log in to the Dashboard at dashboard.meter.com
  2. Navigate to Secure Tunnels > Client VPN
  3. Click Add VPN server

Configuration options

FAQs

The default label of the endpoint is the Meter DDNS address. It is what client devices use to reach the Meter Firewall. This address points to the public IP address of the Meter Firewall. Whenever the public IP address changes, the DDNS record updates automatically.Using DDNS, clients maintain a consistent connection even if your public IP changes.
Yes, you can add multiple endpoints. For example, if some users need access to a certain VLAN and others do not, one endpoint can have access to the particular VLAN while the other endpoint does not. Add users to the appropriate endpoint based on their access needs.
