Seaway7 recently hosted a lunch lecture at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands for the Offshore Technology Study Association (DOT). Wouter van Dalen and Bart van Velzen led an insightful session on the challenges and solutions in offshore Transition Piece installation. Wouter, GM for our Netherlands office said, “It’s inspiring to see the enthusiasm and curiosity of students eager to shape the future of offshore engineering, and it was great to see an improving gender balance among them too.” The event was a great success, with around 50 enthusiastic students in attendance. The feedback has been incredibly positive and we’ve received a lot of interest from the students! A big thank you to everyone who attended and made this event memorable 🙌 #OffshoreTechnology #FutureEngineers #DelftUniversity

Seaway7 has successfully completed the full EPIC cables scope on OW Ocean Winds UK Moray West Offshore Wind Farm. The cables team installed 118 km of 66kV inner-array cable connecting the 60 wind turbines to the two offshore substations (OSPs) and 15km of 66kV cable connecting the two OSPs. This success is down to the hard work of everyone involved, especially to the Offshore Management Teams, the vessel crews and the project team. Way to go! 👏
🎉 Another major milestone for the OW Ocean Winds Moray West #OffshoreWind farm with the completion of the inter-array cables package! 🎉 📍 From their Scottish base in Aberdeen Seaway7, has safely and successfully managed the project to install, bury and connect the cables. With all cables provided by JDR Cable Systems it has been a great demonstration of what the #UKSupplyChain can deliver for the offshore wind sector. 🌬️ With 118 km of 66kV cable connecting the 60 wind turbines to the two offshore substations (OSPs) and 15km of 66kV cable connecting the two OSPs, the programming has required close collaboration between Seaway7, the foundations’ supply chain and the wind turbine installer to ensure no downtime of the heavy lift installation vessels. 👏 A testament to professionalism, focused on delivery! OW Ocean Winds is proud to be working with suppliers that share the drive to deliver. 💪 📸 Check out the pictures below! 👇 #ProudToBeOW #EnergyTransition
