Inspiration
System Notes came from frustration with traditional note-taking.
Most tools optimize for capturing more, not understanding better. They encourage endless pages, timelines, and backlinks—but not clarity. I wanted something that helped me think in systems, models, and cause-effect relationships, not just store information.
The inspiration was simple:
- I think in frameworks, not documents
- My ideas evolve over time, not in one sitting
- Notes should get clearer as they age, not messier
System Notes exists to externalize how I already think—iteratively refining mental models until they’re sharp, reusable, and explainable. It’s not about productivity or sharing. It’s about making sense of complex things and not losing that understanding over time.
It is intended to be a no frills, ugly site. It is function over form.
