Babel

[editovat]

Greetings. Would you add information about languages you know using babel to your user page? You can do it at Meta:User:Jeuwre as well, in which case the information gets shown in all wiki projects of Wikimedia Foundation in which you do not have a dedicate user page, a convenient feature. It is not mandatory, just useful. (I am using English since I figure out from your global contributions you can write and read English. If Czech was more proper for you, I apologize.) Dear Dan Polansky, many thanks for your hints. I created Meta:User:Jeuwre a few minutes ago. Have a nice day. --Jeuwre (diskuse) 5. 3. 2023, 10:28 (CET)Odpovědět
Thank you. Meta:User:Jeuwre shows an impressive contribution statistics; congratulations. It is actually quite incredible. And the quality of the German pronunciation recordings is excellent, as far as I can tell. Viele Grüße, --Dan Polansky (diskuse) 21. 3. 2023, 19:11 (CET)Odpovědět
Drahý Dan Polansky, Thank you for getting back to me. I saw on your user page that you know the DerbethBot. Derbeth linked my audio examples to German/English Wiktionary, so they are largely complete with my audio examples. Also the Polish Wiktionary is filled with many of my audio examples. In the Czech Wiktionary, so many of my audio examples would have to be added that it's practically impossible to do it manually. Not to mention the German inflections (plurals, genitives, datives, accusatives, imperfect, etc., etc.), if they were ever added here. So is there someone who wrote a bot for this purpose for Czech Wiktionary? S pozdravem --Jeuwre (diskuse) 21. 3. 2023, 19:31 (CET)Odpovědět
That's exactly right: using DerbethBot or its analog would be the right/economical/effective way to proceed; adding items manually is very inefficient. I could write such a bot if only I had the enthusiasm; I don't, since, to my mind, the core content of the Czech Wiktionary are the Czech words, and German words are much better covered in the German Wiktionary anyway. Resources are scarce and one is well advised to allocate them carefully. I have not seen anyone writing bots in the Czech Wiktionary recently. --Dan Polansky (diskuse) 21. 3. 2023, 19:43 (CET)Odpovědět
