#6923 closed enhancement (fixed)

Encoding in visual text editor converted

Reported by: usayd's profile usayd Owned by:

Component: TinyMCE Keywords: encoding

Description

This is a trivial matter, but for those using email or URL encoding without using a plugin, it presents a problem.

If you insert an encoded address into the editor it will work and hide the address in the source, however if you want to edit the post at a later date, the encoding will be lost.

This issue is only prevented if the HTML view is set as default and you do not switch back to the Visual editor during editing.

  • Milestone set to 2.7

I have a slight feeling this may be fixed due to an unrelated issue. Not sure though.

Possibly the same root cause as #6449, which is fixed in 2.6.

Resolving as fixed per #6449. Reopen if the bug persists.
