Update has stopped my ability to use certain basic tools

Description
I updated my site to 4.3 and now I am no longer able to add media to the site. I am also not able to edit pages in Visual mode. I am not sure what is happening.

Make sure to include as much information as possible.
It may even be worth disabling any plugin(s) you have and checking file permissions to ensure there are no conflicts.
