Description
Whilst developing themes and using WordPress I keep running into problems with the bar across the top of the site when signed in, despite the fact that positions itself above everything, 99% of the time it sticks out like a sore thumb and is of no use – that being said, 1% of the time I'd like to be able to access it easily without logging in and out of WordPress each time I want it to be available or not available.
My proposition to the core and the ux team is to design and implement the ability for a user to click a button which makes the bar reappear. I've attached a 30 second mockup of what I mean.
This would allow the administrators to easily get a view of what the user sees and also remove the distracting bar for developers when theming for wordpress.
