Question Regarding the Type and Period_Type of Webhook Events

Hello,  I am currently developing a feature that sends push notifications before the free trial expires and the subscription begins, using webhooks. The logic is as follows:if (event.type === 'INITIAL_PURCHASE' && event.period_type === 'TRIAL') {  // Schedule push notification} else if (event.type === 'CANCELLATION' && event.period_type === 'TRIAL') {  // Cancel scheduled push notification}Will the above logic work as intended? I am curious if the `period_type` is correctly transmitted as the current subscribed product, regardless of the event type.

Stripe: Implementing Prepaid Non-Renewal Subscriptions in RevenueCat

HelloI'm looking to introduce "prepaid" or "non-renewing subscriptions" for my app. I plan to start by adding this option to our website. To implement this, I’m creating one-time payment products for the following durations: 1 month, 3 months, and 12 months.So far, everything is set up on the website side. However, I’m facing a challenge when it comes to informing RevenueCat that these one-time payment products should have a fixed duration. For instance, I need to configure the 3-month product to grant access for exactly 3 months and the 12-month product for 12 months.Does anyone know if this is possible in RevenueCat? If so, what would be the best approach to set this up?Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

iOS New Subscribers Calculation

Does anyone know what the exact login is in the backend for determining new subscribers in a given month for iOS? We’re migrating from Tableau / App Store API and have about a 10% gap to understand. We have a simple annual subscription with a free 7-day trial and occasional intro price offers which complicate the event type math for doing new subs.  So I’m wondering if the exact RC logic for calculating new subs in a period for iOS is available to better understand the differences we’re seeing. For example, it takes the SUM of events “Conversions to Standard Price” and “Reactivations” and “Activations {where duration = 1yr”} something like that?

When INITIAL_PURCHASE webhook on offer code redemption

If a user redeems an offer code (iOS) without the app installed, when does the INITIAL_PURCHASE webhook fire? I’m having an issue where the INITIAL_PURCHASE webhook is firing without the user id being set. I set the user id when the user signs in/up so I’m trying to understand when the webhook is firing. This is only a problem for trials (offer code redemptions).It would be nice if the webhook would re-fired when the user id was updated.

Apple Subscription Key is Invalid!

Dear Community:I have purchased the Codelime yearly subscription on my MacBook Pro M2 via my iCloud Account - Apple ID. Since purchasing on this same device I can’t enable iCloud sync because for some reason it still sees my free subscription and not the one I just paid for. On my Mac Studio M1 and my iPhone it automatically recognized my Codelime premium subscription.On this MacBook Pro M2 device if I select restore purchases I am seeing the following message below.Apple Subscription Key is invalid or not present. In order to provide subscription offers, you must\nfirst generate a subscription key.\nPlease see https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/ios-subscription-offers for more info. Apple Subscription Key is invalid or not present.From what I have read in this community forum, it seems that this is a new bug. RevenueCat with Shopify

I am launching an app with a subscription offering. I currently have an e-commerce site built using Shopify. I am selling subscriptions on the Shopify site using the Bold Subscriptions Add-On, with Shopify Payments as the gateway.Bold offers webhooks for subscription events. I was thinking that I could pass these webhooks through my backend to the RC API...but...I don’t see RC endpoints for subscription events like cancel, so maybe this is not a viable solution?Is it possible to integrate the subscriptions sold on the Shopify site with RevenueCat? Am I missing a simpler solution here? Thanks!

Potential Duplicate in_app_purchase Events with Capacitor Firebase and RevenueCat Integration

Hi everyone,I’m in the process of migrating from the Cordova Purchase Plugin to RevenueCat and have a question about how Firebase Analytics handles in-app purchase events with the following setup:Capacitor Plugin: @capacitor-community/firebase-analytics RevenueCat Plugin: @capacitor-community/revenuecatCurrently, with @capacitor-community/firebase-analytics installed, all in-app purchases are automatically logged in Firebase Analytics as in_app_purchase events, even though I haven’t explicitly configured this. I assume this happens because Firebase SDKs natively track purchases on iOS and Android platforms.As I transition to RevenueCat, I’m considering whether or not to implement its Firebase integration. My concern is that this could cause the same in_app_purchase events to be logged twice: once by the native Firebase SDK and potentially again via RevenueCat's integration.My main questions are:Has anyone experienced this setup? Singular integration

When integrating Singular using official docs we have faced a few issues: API KeyFrom the official docs it is not clear which API key we suppose to use. Singular has many types of API keys: SDK, Reporting API key, S2S API key, etc.We were under impression that we should use Reporting API key located here: https://app.singular.net/#/react/api. On our integration page on Revenue Cat all events were green and in event logs it was indicated that Singular successfully accepts the events.The problem was that we couldn’t find any rc_events on Singular Events page. We had raised a problem with Singular support and they confirmed that Reporting API key should be used as API key. After a few days they again replied to us saying that this is wrong and SDK API key should be used instead.Would be nice to have more clear explanation on docs page regarding this issue. IDFA for iOSWe don’t ask our users to provide access to IDFA, so we only collect IDFV. Hi, I recently moved away from Stripe on the web, the main reason being that Stripe is not a merchant of record. I think Lemon Squeezy is the most popular alternative that is a merchant of record.Are there any plans of adding support for Lemon Squeezy as a payment alternative for the web?

OneSignal Integration failing Flutter

How to get price paid from user/subscription

Hi all, looking to use the Revenue Cat API to dynamically set the price of a subscription within my app - looking at the API docs I’m struggling to find a way to make a GET request with either a UserId or SubscriptionId to get the price of a subscription. Is there a way to do this currently, and if so - how?

PREPAID as period_type?

Hi, I thought the only values you see for the period_type field are: TRIAL, NORMAL, PROMOTIONAL. However, see attached. I see a PREPAID value? In the attached picture, the product is a recurring subscription (as opposed to a prepaid/non-recurring product). So the period_type value doesn’t seem to match.Is this a bug in RC? If not, what does this period_type mean? iOS subs continue to use the NORMAL period_type, so am I expected to field different period types, depending on the store? Thanks, Toby

Claims are not updated after collections are updated by subscriptions cancelled

When RevenueCat update firestore collection to indicate that subscription is cancelled claims are not updated.Scenario to proof : -  Cancel your subscription and create a listener on the collection containing the subscription data.-  Once subscription is updated by RevenueCat at ‘expiresDate’ your app will be notified.-  Once notified call FirebaseAuth.instance.currentUser!.getIdTokenResult(true).-  As you can see claims are not updatedBecause of that, after subscription i can’t read some collections protected by firestore rules using claims.

Invalid Password error when trying to submit Stripe Webhook Secret

In my RevenueCat project, I implemented Stripe, which is connected to RevenueCat.I followed the documentation on how to implement web hooks, copied the “Signing secret” from Stripe to the “Stripe Webhook Secret” field in RevenueCat.But when I submit the secret, I got an error: “Invalid Password”, as shown below: Did I miss something?How can I fix that?Thanks.

Could not validate subscriptions API permissions

Hi.I'm trying to implement subscription purchases and in-app purchases using Google play and RevenueCat payment service.Although we had already succeeded in integrating other apps, we had problems integrating payments for the new app.I don't think the RevenueCat payment service works by accident.I hope everything runs smoothly.Let me tell you why I say this.We followed all the integration methods currently provided by RevenueCat and repeated them not just once, but several times.So, please refrain from telling people to refer to this while sharing reference documents.So, I often waited for more than 24 or 36 hours, and now even after waiting for a week, the payment does not work.Of course, the review and approval was completed in the closed testing track, and there were many times I waited while revising the product description for a quick method.But it still doesn't work.I am now waiting for a quick reply and hope this helps all users here who are having the same problem as me.We look

Firebase: what is the lifecycle of a custom claim?

I’m tinkering around with RevenueCat for an app my company is releasing Q4 this year. We use Firebase as a simple backend.Context:One of our features is the submission of images for server-side processing. The submission of a job is done via a Firebase cloud function, and the abilities of the user to submit these jobs can be different depending on the user’s current subscription/entitlements. As such, it is important that the custom claims on the Firebase auth token are up-to-date when the backend function is called. Otherwise, the user might make a purchase to attain some feature, and not be able to access it immediately because the Function will reject their request. Question:When are the custom claims set, and can I expect them to be available immediately in my Firebase functions after a purchase?More specifically, if I await any calls into RevenueCat when a purchase is made, will all Firebase functions called from that point onwards have the custom claim set in the request? Analytics events to work with Google ads

So google ads needs IAP events to be fired via google analytics, which is then used by google ads to optimise campaigns.I am using RC for react native for both subscription with trial and product purchase. I am just wondering if these IAP events are fired automatically in both android and ios?I can see there is an Firebase integration, but i think Google ads will need device identifier to identify users, so was wondering if events in analytics are logged via an integration will it still work.In short, I want IAP events (in_app_purchase, Subscription trial and subscription convert) to be logged to analytics which will work with Google Ads action optimisation. Whats the best way to work with this?

Subscription updates not reflected in Firestore

Hi, I am in the process of finishing my integration with RevenueCat and having an issue where the subscription events are not updated in the user collection.StackVue.js + CapacitorJS + FirebaseWhat’s happeningSubscriptions are successful User collection is updated with RevenueCat data (I’m using the same collection as my normal user collection) I cancel the subscription in Google Play successfully I receive the event in Firestore User collection is not updatedUser collection’s entitlements and subscriptions sections after cancellation   The only steps I’ve not completed is connecting up to Google Analytics but otherwise I think I’m setup correctly.Is this not working or is my expectations of how this integration works incorrect?I was expecting that when a user unsubscribes that the unsubscribe_detected_at would be updated and when the sub expires that the subscriptions and entitlements would update accordingly.Regards,Chris

Facebook Ads Integration for iOS 14.5+ for users who do not accept ATT prompt

Here is the situation I’d like help with:User is on iOS 14.5+ User does NOT accept ATT prompt - i.e. IDFA is not provided. The goal: Run facebook ads to maximize the number of purchasing users or to maximize the value of users subscribing to the app.If the user does not accept the ATT prompt, in that case facebook uses Apple’s SKAdnetwork for attribution.Does the Facebook Ads Integration in Revenuecat work for users who do not accept the ATT prompt - i.e. will Facebook be able to attribute purchase events to the correct campaign? I don’t think this would work, since I believe SKAdnetwork only works with local events in the app, not server to server events such as this Facebook Ads Integration. I believe that in order to be able to optimize Facebook ads for this use case, we need to track the events we want to optimize for (i.e. start trial / purchase events) locally in the app, then correctly configure the conversion values for SKAdnetwork and not send server to server events such as v

Is "rc_trial_start" the same event as "in_app_purchase"?

OneSignal integration send empty body

I have set up an integration between OneSignal and RevenueCat, checked over the App ID and API key, both are correct. I recently found out that our app was not setting the OneSignal ID and on the Purchases SDK for flutter (8.0.1). We fixed this and checked that the user does indeed have a valid OneSignal ID and it should be sending the given data tags to OneSignal. however it seems that when i look through the integration logs that RevenueCat sends empty body to OneSignal and in turn gets a 404 reply with the given error below (the webhook to our backend sends the update correctly so theres no issue there). Note: i have not change any of the tag names so they are default{"errors":[{"code":"subscription-0","title":"Subscription not found"}]} Any idea why this is happening? EDIT: seems flutter SDK still only supports old device centric (9.0) version of RevenueCat, does this mean the integration does not work at all in that case unless we set it manually?

What is the order of the transferred_from array in the webhook payload

Hi,We are implementing webhooks and would like to know if there is a specific order the id’s come back in the `transferred_from` and `transferred_to` arrays. During our testing, they seem to be a little inconsistent *Update*I should probably clarify that I am referring to the transfer webhook jic someone is reading this, down the line and it isn’t clear.
