File:Foreign Secretary David Lammy visits India (53878823400).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Please, wait one hour or more before you categorize or edit my uploads.

[edit]

@RandomUserGuy1738, you are closely following my edits again. I'm requesting that you wait one hour or more before you categorize my uploads. That gives me a reasonable chance to categories my uploaded files. Recently, you have repeatedly edited my uploads within a few minutes of the upload. Your behavior is unwelcome and disruptive..

Please, focus your energies on improving your many uploads.

There are so many opportunities for positive actions here on the Commons, instead of closely following my edits. I have two suggestions.

1. You could add categories some of your 50,000+ uploads with 1,000's of them having only one category.

2. You could change file names on the 1,000's of your uploaded files that have "meaningless or ambiguous names." See:Commons:File renaming#cite note-2. That would beneficial. Respectfully, -- Ooligan (talk) 15:22, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not changing your categories. I have waited approximately 24 hours as you have requested previously before adding categories to your files. I change how the author and source look to make it match how Flickr2Commons does it so that it looks much more professional. Also, your behavior is unwelcome and disruptive as well. You don't use Flickr2Commons and since most editors will not check whether or not the files is already on commons, duplicates are created. Plus, you have followed my uploads as well. For example, I uploaded of John Swinney from the Scottish Government and not long after that, you upload from the same page. Additionally, you don't categorize well. For example, with these files [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], the main subject is Keir Starmer as it is from his official government page, yet you failed to add the category, Keir Starmer in August 2024. Same with [7], the main subject is John Swinney and you failed to add John Swinney in 2024. If you are going to upload Flickr images from the same pages I have been uploading from for years (The White House, State Department, Defense Department, etc), then please add the correct category that pertains to the subject. You tend to add irrelevant categories and miss the category of the main subject. Also, file names being meaningless or ambiguous names is very subjective. I usually keep same Flickr2Commons gives me so that the potential of creating duplicates does not occur. Before you started commenting on my page about this, I never received an issues with it since I started using Flickr2Commons in 2018. RandomUserGuy1738 (talk) 15:42, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fyi, a bot has already tagged your eleven (11) duplicate file uploads below.

HQ images of Russian politicians

[edit]

Hi! Are there any high resolution photos of Russian politicians from the 1990s in the US government archives? MasterRus21thCentury (talk) 09:04, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

To the best of my knowledge, there is not. The pictures I found were from Clinton's White House website from the 1990s. To find some more, I suspect the best way is to contact the Clinton Presidential library. RandomUserGuy1738 (talk) 09:27, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And so, in general, would you be more active in uploading photos with post-Soviet politicians, as well as from the European Commission's audiovisual bank (it's under CC BY 4.0)? MasterRus21thCentury (talk) 16:44, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, in particular pictures of Vladimir Putin with every President since Bill Clinton. I have uploaded from the European Commission's audiovisual bank and I appreciate how their images are fair use. RandomUserGuy1738 (talk) 02:01, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
