Niet bailey- maar noodbrug (teruggeplaatst)

Hoi Mdd, je hebt plaatjes geüpload van een brug https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:De_nieuwe_Baileybrug_over_de_Maas_in_aanbouw,_1945.jpg. Dit was geen baileybrug maar een aparte noodspoorbrug. Ik heb het artikel Baileybrug Venlo geüpdate en de plaatjes weggehaald. Groetjes, Konijnewolf (talk) 14:14, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In het archiefboxje hiernaast staat voor zover ik kan zien de complete overlegpagina, die tegelijkertijd met jouw opmerking netjes verplaatst werd naar de archiefpagina 2024. Het gearchiveerde bericht is hierboven teruggeplaatst. Het betreft een upload van 2 nov 2023, zie hier. Op 13-14 december 2023 is de beschrijving van deze file aangepast, zie hier, dat dit geen Baileybrug maar een noodbrug betrof. Dit had ik kennelijk gemist en daarvoor m'n dank.

In mijn perceptie is het Venloos Archief een prachtige bron van informatie, en verdiend alle respect. Zoals overal is de informatie niet-volledig en behoeft aanvullingen en correcties. Wat ik van het eigen gepubliceerde werk van Peter Keijsers heb gelezen is, dat het behoorlijk aardig wegleest en inspireert. Op Wikipedia heeft hij eigen handig een duizendtal onderwerpen rond Venlo opgezet. Ook hier geldt dat dit zoals overal niet-volledig is en aanvullingen en correcties behoeft. -- Mdd (talk) 13:27, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Als je bij het Venloos Archief zoekt op "bailey" krijg je nog steeds 'tig verkeerde foto's te zien. Ik heb al honderden correcties gestuurd, en dat is nog een heel gehannes ook. Binnenkort ga ik daar eens op bezoek.
Wat Peter betreft; ik ken hem, voornamelijk van de frietkraam waar we allebei kwamen. In het echt een prima kerel. Online, bijvoorbeeld hier, lag ik ontelbare malen met hem in de clinch. Konijnewolf (talk) 14:57, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dit is dezelfde brug

Mdd, je bent abuis; dit zijn twee foto's van dezelfde brugː [[1]] en [[2]] Bij de tweede foto heb je in de beschrijving gezet dat het een andere brug is maar het is dezelfde.

Er is net een screenshot gemaakt van de categorie (zie afbeelding), waar de twee nu genoemde afbeeldingen links en rechts in dezelfde categorie zitten sinds een maand of vier. Venlo; Zuidelijke Pontonbrug

We moeten het even hebben over deze [3] en deze [4] pontonbruggen. De eerste brug is zuid van Nedinsco (de fabrieksflat) en verbindt de Blerickse oever met de Venlose Hamelstraat. De tweede is noord van Nedinsco en verbindt de Blerickse Victor de Stuersstraat met de Venlose Molensingel. Het zijn dus twee verschillende bruggen. Waarschijnlijk is de eerste brug, die een stuk kleiner is dan de tweede brug (dat is te zien op een luchtfoto die ik heb), de brug die een dag na de bevrijding is aangelegd. De andere brug met Montgomery is van later datum - denk ik. De bruggen zitten nu in één categorie als ware het dezelfde brug. Hoe lossen we dat op? De volgende foto (een uitsnede), gecombineerd met aanvullende data van de Britse Imperial War Museums (zie hier), leert ons dat beide bruggen vrijwel gelijktijdig gebouwd zijn. Het eerste bezoek van Veldmaarschalk Montgomery was namelijk op 8 maart 1945, en op 17 maart 1945 (zie hier) was hij nog een keer terug voor een laatste inspectie.

De omschrijving van de Category:Zuidelijke Pontonbrug (Venlo) is nu aangepast dat het beide pontonbruggen omvat. Indien er substantieel meer afbeeldingen en/of andere media beschikbaar komen, dan kan men wellicht overwegen een aanvullende aparte categorie aan te maken. -- 23:07, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

Hernoemingen

Beste Mdd, verzoeken tot hernoeming die je zelf onlangs hebt geüpload (tot 2-3 dagen), gaan het liefst onder Criterion 1, i.p.v. Criterion 3. Dit is makkelijker voor de filemover en bovendien het juiste criterium. Ook kan een filemover een redirect weglaten bij zeer recente bestanden, hoewel dat de keuze en verantwoordelijkheid bij de filemover (hernoemer) ligt. Als een bestand nog niet ergens gebruikt wordt, is die mogelijkheid daar. Kijk maar wat je hiermee doet, in ieder geval weet je nu dat het handiger is voor de filemover en dat de kans bestaat dat (onnodige) redirects niet worden gemaakt. Faculty of Koninklijke Akademie van Beeldende Kunsten : wat is dat?

Hoi MDD, Hier plaatste U iemand in cat:Faculty of Koninklijke Akademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam). Maar waarvoor dient deze categorie, wat betekent het? Dat is de hoofdvraag. Daarnaast kan ik geen bron ontdekken voor Madou als behorend tot deze cat. Wie zouden daar allemaal toe behoren en op welke grond? Waar zijn die data te vinden? Ik zie nu dat het wellicht gaat om een voorafgaand instituut? Kan de relatie met parent met wiki data info of een kort intro tekstje erbij uitgelegd worden? Bedankt. Thx @Pelikana: , faculty is medewerker of medewerkers van een hogere opleiding, die in (tijdelijke) dienst zijn. In dit geval betreft het de Tekenacademie (Den Haag 1682-), voorloper van KABK Den Haag. In dit geval was wellicht RKD de gebruikte bron. Jean-Baptiste Madou leefde een tijd(je) in Scheveningen en had een drietal leerlingen. Deze leerlingen hadden de Tekenacademie in Den Haag gevolgd, en hadden daar les van hem gehad. Nu is dit soort vroege informatie niet volledig op de RKD, en was er 1.5 jaar terug wellicht nog wat meer data bij de RKD. Nu lijkt je ook te vragen naar de betekenis van de Categorie:Faculty of...!? Design drawings

Hoi MDD. Er is enige discussie over Design drawings (by collection, hier: RMA). Ik zag dat je in 2015 deze term gebruikte ivm Maria van Jessekerk (Delft) daarom vraag ik nu of je een mening wilt geven hier. Het gaat over een van de ca. 20 first level subcategorieën van tekeningen in het RMA, die zelf weer een koepel is voor diverse subcats van met name boekbandontwerpen, getekende illustratie ontwerpen etc.Peli (talk) 10:59, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thx @Pelikana: , de opzet en het belang van de categorie zelf lijkt nu duidelijk onderkent en erkent. Er is nu een eerste oplossing doorgevoerd in de vorm van een nadere beschrijving van de categorie. Verder kan de Category:Architectural designs in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam nader gespecificeerd worden tot "Category:Architectural designs drawings in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam".
