Explanation

[edit]

Will you mind once and for all explaining why you keep changing the file summary, knowing very well that file you uploaded is not the actual source of File:ESC 2022 Map.svg? What is the purpose of this disruption? This has nothing to do with the borders, the source of the file is another and you can’t change it. イヴァンスクルージ九十八(会話) 09:52, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I downloaded it from a website where you can legally download logos for free. Kematen (talk) 13:11, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Eurovision maps

[edit]

This is your last warning. Please stop blatantly ignoring consensus and changing the borders on the maps of the Eurovision Song Contest. Your changes have clearly been opposed, so it does not matter how right you think you are; you cannot make such a change without getting consensus first. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 20:07, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! I made a dashed line between it. Okay? I want to show that it isn't a clear border and so I changed it. And now I did a dashed line between it. Okay? I'm sorry! (talk) 22:22, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As I said, your edit has been opposed. Please first discuss it on the talk page, and do not again make a bold change until there is agreement. (See also Commons:Don't be bold) ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 20:41, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It just annoys me that everyone is always against me and that I only mean good things. At the beginning I didn't manage to have the line dashed. Now I've done it. The country border is not fixed, as is always shown here. That's why I made a new map with a dashed line. It was a lot of work and you're always against me. I only mean well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kematen (talk • contribs) 20:47, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that you put a lot of effort in it; I don't even know how to edit an SVG file in the first place. However, Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and if you have a dispute with other editors, it is better to try to resolve the dispute first, to prevent work being wasted. Constantly trying to change to your preferred version (and potentially starting an edit war) only annoys other editors and does accomplish anything. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 20:59, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do now? I don't know my way around wiki. I just want to show that the Crimean border does not clearly go to Ukraine. It's controversial and actually more like Russia, but ... (I'm from Austria) I know. That's why I've now drawn a dashed line and yes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kematen (talk • contribs) 21:04, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Normally such an issue would be discussed on the talk page of the file, File talk:ESC 2021 Map. However, since this is something that affects multiple maps, I thought I'd start a discussion at the talk page of WikiProject Eurovision: Commons talk:WikiProject Eurovision. A WikiProject is a group of editors who collaborate on a specific subject (in this case, Eurovision). This WikiProject does not appear to be very active on Commons though, so I also asked people of the English WikiProject to participate. Hopefully we can resolve the issue through this discussion. (Also, sorry for being so slow to respond; I have been watching the UEFA Euro 2020 final.) ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 22:49, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Grundlagen für U-Bahn-Verläufe

[edit]

File:U-Map Vienna all.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Russo-Ukraine Conflict map

[edit]

Hello Kematen, would it be possible to get in contact with User:Rr016 about your and his changes of the map? Your and his updates seems to differ a lot in detail. What is your data-source and can you please add the sources when you change the image? Thank you. Best regards ChNPP (talk) 18:59, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Kematen (talk) 20:36, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could you also explain why you reverted the entire map back to the map prior to the invasion? Pauzaurus (talk) 18:50, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
